It isn't binary. If you slay it all the time in front of your son, you are showing him who he is destined to be. A top tier operator in anything he endeavors. Be intentional with him. I never want my son to grow up thinking "good enough" is a goal. This drives me. The temptation I have to sit back and say "I've already succeeded" is overridden by my desire to teach my children perseverance. You're doing great and killing it bro!

2022-09-20 12:12:40 +0000 UTCI don't see it as ego, but a drive to be the best. Something that appears to be programmed into your DNA. It's part work ethic, and part drive to be the best you can be. Building a solid foundation to support your family has nothing to do with ego, but everything to do with caring for your family. I applaud both of you for putting your children in first place. In the end, your children don't need "things" they want your time. The most precious moments they will remember are not the "things" you bought them, but the time camping, the time fishing, or whatever it is that you do giving them your undivided attention. My favorite moments are with my Dad fishing. I confess I never caught a fish in all our times together. My Dad said I talked too much and scared the fish. But he took me anyway. Hahah. I was 5 or 6 when we had that conversation. I still remember fishing as a most favorite time with him. Thanks for bringing Cody to us. Great interview.

The fact that you struggle with these things means you are aware of what is right and could be wrong and what is important and not important for YOUR life and your family's life/future. You already have a phenomenal show and it's always getting better. You own it and you own your life. Don’t ever sell that for any price no matter how much they offer.
