Rifle Dry Fire Session
Added 2021-09-08 23:23:56 +0000 UTCHello Tier II and Tier III,
In this video I cover what I do for dry fire when working with a carbine type system.
This will seem boring but will also make you better.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
Cheers!

2022-05-15 12:09:46 +0000 UTCShawn I've heard before that if you train with a rifle the skills don't transfer to a pistol, but if you train with a pistol the skills will transfer to the rifle. Is there any truth to that?

2021-09-16 00:22:51 +0000 UTCI'm a big fan of picking a go to. This drill will work for getting to know any new weapons system but, if you pick just one and stick with it, you'll really start to get better.

2021-09-13 18:21:32 +0000 UTCIt is more important than most people let on. Something we talk about pretty regularly on this channel. I'm not big into fitness programs myself (lots of great info out there like Travis Kennedy's workouts) but it is important to maintain a base level of fitness. Need to be able to carry all the gear.

2021-09-13 18:18:44 +0000 UTCBeing that most of us (that’s a guess) probably have more than one AR, and that most AR’s are built differently, is it better to run this drill with all available weapon systems or pick a primary go-to setup and work it consistently until proficiency improves? For example, I have a 14” with forward grip and a red dot optic; or a straight up 10.5” with iron sights. As we saw with Shawn, it can be pretty different just with the stock, let alone target acquisition between optic vs iron. I have the added issue of being ambidextrous with long guns, same question. Should I pick a favorite weapon and a favorite shoulder before running 100 dry fires?

2021-09-11 11:56:20 +0000 UTCWould love to get your thoughts on where you put physical fitness on the list of being prepared and how you prefer to stay in shape I don’t wanna be a 400 pound “operator” who can’t go half way up a flight of stairs with out a 160bpm and being totally winded
