Zeroing a PCC For Home Defense

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

I hope all of you are well.

In this video I cover the philosophy behind how I zero a pistol caliber carbine for home defense.

Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.

We'll be mixing it up this month with some prepping content and more SRS content.

Have a great weekend and we'll see you soon.

Cheers

As always, adhere to all firearms safety rules and range commands at your facility. For more info on safety, see https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2015/7/the-rules-of-nra-gun-safety/

I just call in an A-10 strike and let them worry about it.

It's nice to hear a tier 1 operator confirm the same thing I was thinking. So many "experts" on YT telling us we need to sight at 50 yards and then do a math equation in order to hit a target at 15 yards. A 50 yard zero for home defense is about halfway down the street; that's no longer self defense.

I own a .45 pcc and does cost more to train, but worth it in mho if ever

Ernest

Thanks Dan more in this series coming this week.

Haven't had a chance yet to experiment with that. It's going to be a bummer when the price on that ammo goes up.

Shawn

Haha 🐺

Shawn

Great advice again. Simple and sweet. Keep it up.

Is there a reason to reduce your lethal round count?

In the pcc world most of the pcc’s you have talked about have been 9mm. I feel like I’m leaning more to a 45 cal. Seems like a lot more fire power for the same platform. Is there a reason to stick with the 9 mm. I can see some advantages and disadvantages of both. What’s your take on it?

Brian Garrett

This reminds me to ask did you ever look into your AK zero? I'm happy with 50 yards but curious of you found something better.
