EDC BAG - VIGILANCE ELITE

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

I hope all is well!

This video is long overdue. We're going to take a look at my EDC Bag.

We'll cover the items and philosophy.

Let me know what you think. I've seen some pretty cool stuff from this community.

Stay prepared out there and stay vigilant.

Some thing I added to my EDC recently was the good old wire gun locks you get with every purchase. Use for securing doors, combatants, theres 100 things you can do with them

Like this idea of a consolidated grey man bag. I've got similar stuff but it's spread out so I'm starting my search for the bag. Lesson learned in hot weather (probably cold too), is that lithium batteries seem to survive better in the car than the others. Just ask my old minimag light that welded itself shut. Couple other things I really like to carry is a mini pry bar and a door wedge. Thanks for the inspiration Sean

IF I'm definitely in Chicago..... WISE MAN - coming from someone who actually lives in the city....

One comment I'd make is meds. I'm an epileptic, so I make a point to carry extra AED pills, and misc meds. Tylenol, aspirin, naproxen, benadryl, hydroxyzine, etc.

Just catching up on recent posts bro. Another great video. I have a power pack in my EDC bag but I never considered the solar option, hadn't thought of that and it makes a lot of sense. I'm definitely going to get one that is solar powered. Like the road flares too. Practical, solid info as always. Thanks dude.

I'm getting some glowsticks and balertwine and going to see if I can signal myself an apache! Lol. Awesome video as always! Thanks!

I'm feeling there's some experience and mindset behind this post 😂👊🏼.

Not too much on actual EDC bags items and purposes for this comment. Diaper bag. Things you’ll want to have in your bag as a dad for an infant. Things I always was glad I had. Extra diapers enough of the current size(it changes quicker than you think. They grow up fast), some sort of diaper rash cream(I prefer aquaphor or vitamin A &D ointment. They work wonders in healing an angry red ass), extra clothes(size changes quickly. My daughter never wore a new born size. So quick), hat and gloves(one item that’s easy to forget in the winter), extra powdered formula(at least a days worth), extra bottle with right size nipple(never know when you might need it. Even if he’s nursing with mama. It’s good to have), baby medicine, acetaminophen and ibuprofen. When that kid strikes a rando fever. Both types of painkillers need 4-6 hours before another dose of the same medicine. Ie Tylenol 4-6 hours before another dose of Tylenol. You can stack alternate doses since they’re two different types. So acetaminophen one dose, ibuprofen 2-3 hours later. This helps with fevers a lot. Otherwise it starts to wear off around hour 3. Fever goes back up. It’s nice to have another ace in the hole. Ask your future pediatrician about it. They’ll confirm that. Super helpful. Nose Frida aka snot rocket, aka snot sucker quite literally. Invaluable tool. Carry that and saline. Get the medical grade kind that come on the little single use pink in color plastic tubes. Like what you see used at the doctors office or the hospital. Low tech but works the best. Better than the rest of the stuff I tried. Nothing works like as well as that stuff. Trust me. Best to apply saline in the opposite nostril you’re clearing with the nose Frida. It seems backwards, it works. Also your little door kicker will fight you during this. Swaddle him. Easiest and safest way to restrain those surprisingly strong arms and legs. Otherwise it’s like baby jiu jitsu. Respiratory junk sucks. It can be dangerous at that age. My daughter had a rough go when she was that little. Find out if there is a hospital with a program that allows you to get a script to go in and get the kiddo snot suckered by the wall suction. It helps. I have one near where I live. It really really helps. Ours is called an outpatient bronchialitis clinic. Don’t know if that’s a universal thing. Respiratory stuff is no joke. So that’s my unsolicited dad advice of things I learned from my daughter when she was super little. Also adopt a new term here. EDDBC(Every Day Diaper Bag Carry. Lol. Enjoy it.). Also, you’re going to need a bigger bag than that Patagonia. Lol. It’s hard work being a dad. It’s the best damn job in the world. Will change your life even more than you think. Good luck brother. Edit: Repost. Posted this by accident in the section of another video. Love smart phones man.

Swap out those alkaline AA/AAA for lithium AA/AAA. They will never leak. I just powered up a couple of radios for the first time in 6 years and they were still at 100%.
