Punch Out Presentations Warm Up Drill
Added 2020-12-03 04:10:55 +0000 UTCHello Tier II and Tier III,
I hope all of you are well! We made it to level 12 of 2020 👊🏻.
Here's a followup drill to the Punch Out Presentations video. It's a good warm up that can be practiced at most facilities.
Focus on a consistent cheek weld and safety manipulation. Remember don't move your head to get on our sights.
Let me know if you have any questions. More fundamentals updates in production.
Adhere to all firearms safety rules and range commands/protocols at your facility. For more info on safety, see https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2015/7/the-rules-of-nra-gun-safety/

Lots of people get really wrapped up in beating the clock. Focus on beating your best time while keeping all the fundamentals down. If you're drilling it 100% at 2.6 try to get it to 2.0 but focus on 100% hits and consistency.

2021-01-27 06:15:20 +0000 UTCHey would you be able to give me a par time if I would shoot this using two targets ? I went to the range today using a tinier for the first time . I was getting about 2.6 second best for first shot from a high ready with about .6 split time . I was just going though the motions not trying to be super fast . Is that a good time?

2021-01-11 08:52:01 +0000 UTCIn addition to practicing my pistol draw, I try and practice this drill with dry fire every day if possible. I still find it tricky to get it shouldered in the right place on every repetition, but I imagine that will just take time and practice.

2020-12-23 16:46:33 +0000 UTCTrying to keep it real 👊🏻
Shawn
2020-12-15 04:33:46 +0000 UTCNot a fan of that actually. Risk getting your truck broken into even if it is secured and you are also responsible for it at that point. But, to each his own.
Shawn
2020-12-15 04:27:24 +0000 UTCDirect no nonsense training information, and a few jabs at the “cool guys”(dip shits🤣) on line make for a solid chuckle or two while absorbing some critical training exercises! God Bless

2020-12-13 19:32:38 +0000 UTCShawn, what’s your recommendation for a truck gun...do you consider a “truck” gun a must have? If so, why and how do you keep it safe?

2020-12-11 10:26:42 +0000 UTCNice! Keep at it and let us know how it goes. Consistency is key.

2020-12-08 04:40:06 +0000 UTCThe followthrough portion of the pistol fundamentals is a good one to review. Stopping the threat is the priority.

2020-12-08 04:39:36 +0000 UTCNot my first choice for defense. Still a good round. Also might punch through your targets if shooting steel on the range like this drill.
Shawn
2020-12-08 04:20:58 +0000 UTCIt's handy 👊🏻.

2020-12-08 04:07:21 +0000 UTCPracticed the drill over the weekend. Great drill!! BTW I love shooting the AR never had one before!! Not Easy for me to hit the same spot on the cheek weld and the pocket in the shoulder.

2020-12-06 21:06:33 +0000 UTCSo double tapping being mostly for training, for those of us how've never dropped one, is there anything we can do at the range for knowing when to stop pulling the trigger - specially fogged up with adrenaline? Thanks for all you do shipwreck!

2020-12-06 12:39:14 +0000 UTCExcellent drill!! Question: you mentioned the 556 62 Gr green tip are not recommended.. just wondering why since there are some for sale. Thanks man!!
