Carbine Fundamentals: Punch Out Presentations

This is the first video of the Carbine Fundamentals Series.

In this lesson I cover punch out presentations, cheek weld and a practice drill. When learning to shoot, we are building muscle memory. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below and I'll make followup videos.

Wax on. Wax off. NO MERCEY! 🐍👊🏻😂

REMEMBER: YOU ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY ROUND THAT LEAVES YOUR BARREL.

Adhere to all firearms safety rules and range commands/protocols at your facility. For more info on safety, see https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2015/7/the-rules-of-nra-gun-safety/

The cable on your pressure pad, how is it so neatly against the rail? Is it just a zip tie?

Eric

Thanks Bobby. Hope this helps on the range.

Shawn

This one helps build speed and muscle memory no matter what level you're at.

Shawn

This Drill will bring consistency & muscles memories to a higher level. Outstanding Instructions!

J.A.B. Corbin

Great drill ! I'm going to work on this on next week. May add a timer to it, not to see how fast I can go, just to be able to measure improvements after a couple hundred rounds.

Raymond Ellis

Thanks Buster.

Shawn

One of the best training videos hands down, absolute gold advice throughout..

Buster

Shawn could do an entire comedy show! Seriously, he's funnier than any comedian out there (not really saying much considering all the woke garbage on tv, but whatever).

Hi Stephen, Welcome! Check out the Tactical Training, Carbine Fundamentals and Pistol Fundamentals playlists. We're still releasing carbine and there will be an update next week. Thanks for the support here on Patreon!

Shawn

Hi sir, new to the community. I was wondering if the reason to be prone at or past 100y was to produce a lower profile or to improve accuracy? Also since I'm new and maybe I missed the video in the lineup but is there a video on basic stance and natural point of aim. I am watching how you stand and it is the strongest most stable stance I've ever seen. Would love to learn how to practice that on my own. Thank you!

Stephen Bornhoft

Honestly this is one that as many rounds as you can dedicate to it is good. Hard to tell these days with ammo being as scarce as it is.

Shawn

Maybe I missed this, but how many rounds of the double shots do you recommend for this? 120 for single and then an equal amount for double or does it not matter as much? Awesome drill, Shawn. They didn’t teach us this shit in the regular infantry.

Moose

I think I got a little too excited. I gave myself a huge ass bruise on my shoulder.

Tyson

All in the repetition.

Shawn

Good fundamental to have down.

Shawn

Wow you make this look easy. After 10,000 or so more reps I should have the basic move down. ;)

M

This is gold, I can't wait to get good at this!
