Pistol Fundamentals: The Draw
Added 2020-07-24 03:00:24 +0000 UTCHello Tier II and Tier III,
This video covers the defensive draw. It is all about getting a consistent, positive, grip every single time. I like to show the positions by the numbers. This takes time to master.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below. This video will likely have follow up videos.
I cannot stress this enough for training the draw. BE SAFE. If you are practicing dry, visually and physically make sure you are clear. You do not want to be that guy.
As always, adhere to all firearms safety rules and range commands/protocols at your facility. For more info on safety, see https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2015/7/the-rules-of-nra-gun-safety/

2021-02-20 06:00:51 +0000 UTCDo you clear your garment with your right or left hand? Assuming a person is right handed?

2021-02-19 20:40:30 +0000 UTCI know it's an old vid, but when getting your webbing around the dovetail before drawing, how would you apply this to a holster with a level 3 retention holster? I can't seem to get a full purchase before pulling.

2020-11-21 04:56:11 +0000 UTCI've watched several videos on drawing from the holster and this is the best one for me. I think some forget the bring the gun to center chest and get your grip. Practicing at home I immediately had a better sight picture when extending. Thanks!

2020-08-05 04:40:17 +0000 UTCThanks for this. I've watched several instructional videos on defensive draw, CCW draw, etc. and this is the most simplistic and effective instruction I've seen on the topic. Will be applying this in practice for sure!

2020-07-30 02:59:55 +0000 UTCCan you comment on canted vs straight holsters. I have difficulty establishing a great grip when using canted holster.
