Sig 716 Patrol First Shots

Stepped outside to take a break from editing the Shawn Ryan Show and took a few shots with my camera guy's Sig 716 Patrol in 308 Winchester. Nice to have a higher power option available sometimes. We ran irons today. ...been a while! In the land of awesome optics it's good to shoot irons every once in a while to keep up the skillset. The target is red and not the most visible so we'll get a lighter color for the next deck shooting video.
Initial impression: pretty cool AR10 style rifle. Check out the time of flight difference between the 7.62x51 in this video and the 9mm in the plinking with Capt Nick video. Shooting the same target off the deck at 100 yards.
Might throw some glass on this thing and try out longer ranges at Shooter Ready Ranch.
The edit on the latest episode of the Shawn Ryan Show is coming along but not quite finished yet. I've been glued to the computer screen editing all week. We really stepped up our game on this one and I'm excited to release it.
Fundamentals Video coming at you soon and I'm going to do a QA video covering some of the questions in comments (others will have video followups). Lots of great questions have been coming out of this community and it really helps keep me motivated and pushing forward.

2020-06-20 00:58:42 +0000 UTCIf you throw some glass on it would you do a video on how to zero/read/adjust a scope. I've only used red dots/eotechs and don't know dick about scopes. Love your 36 yard zero btw have it on all my rifles with red dots including 308s
