Quick HOW TO for SLR:

In DeoVR:

In MultiFunPlayer:

Troubleshooting:

If MultiFunPlayer is not connecting to SLR Interactive or if you have problems getting it to detect SLR scripts when using DeoVR on another device (like Quest 3), check windows firewall and make sure MultiFunPlayer is not blocked. DeoVR needs to be able to connect to MultiFunPlayer from your device.

Thank you, the local repository suggestion worked perfectly.

So HereSphere + XBVR does not work in v1.30 because there a few bugs in XBVR that I since fixed, and one issue with HereSphere that was fixed in v0.11 after I talked to the dev. It now requires MFP to update, so it will work correctly in v1.31. You could use DeoVR + XBVR in the mean time. Or if you play files directly from your NAS and MFP can access the scripts on you NAS (mapped drive), then you can add a script library under "Local" repository, and point it to root folder with videos/scripts on your NAS (remember to check the recursive option). This way MFP should be able to match the file to the script.

I'm using Heresphere on my Quest 3. I have MFP hosted on my PC. Videos and scripts are all on a NAS. I access the videos/scripts in Heresphere using either a SMB share or streamed over XBVR (hosted on the same PC as MFP). NOTE: I do have XBVR enabled as a script repository. When playing a video in Heresphere, I can see the file name in MFP but the script never loads. I don't see a script name or heat map. For what it's worth, if I play video's streamed from XBVR in DeoVR the funscripts do appear in MFP. I was just wondering if this functionality worked in Heresphere.

Ashy

What do you mean by funscripts from HereSphere? From where are you playing the videos in HereSphere, and where are the scripts located?

Yoooi

Question about MultiFunPlayer and Heresphere. I can get both applications connected and MFP does show the media that's being played in Heresphere, but MFP doesn't recognize the funscript. Can MFP recognize fun scripts from Heresphere?

Ashy

Hmm, that's pretty weird behavior but maybe that's out of your control. Thanks though, I'll try it out! Really good feature regardless

If you add two shortcuts, one press one release for the same DeoVR button (like edge mode) in MFP , it will work like a toggle in MFP because I think all of those DeoVR buttons behave like toggles. So each time you click (press + release) the quest button it changes the toggled state of the DeoVR button (like edge mode). They dont work like keyboard/mouse buttons where if you press the quest button the edge mode is enabled, and when you release it edge mode is disabled, unless I'm mistaken. This means for one click shortcut in MFP you have to click the quest button twice (a button click in MFP is a pressed + released event under 200ms), for double click shortcut you have to click it 4 times.

Yoooi

I did, the problem is that there aren't that many buttons on a quest controller. Would also be fine to get a single click to limit the range and a double click to expand the range, that didn't work for me though.

fenderwq

Add a separate shortcut for button press and for button release with different actions.

Yoooi

awesome feature, thanks for implementing this :) Got the edging button mapped now. However, didn't get it to work as a toggle (like it is in DeoVR). Is it possible to do something like this? and if not, maybe I could suggest as a feature?

fenderwq

ahh really, so you can capture the button presses from deoVR interesting, thanks, will try it out!

fenderwq

No they are not actions, they are actual buttons you can find in DeoVR ui, or I think you can bind them to your controller. So they work like keyboard buttons for example, you have to start capturing gestures and press them on a controller or in deovr ui, and then you can assign actions to them in MFP. Unfortunately DeoVR does not send any information about range sliders so they dont do anything.

Yoooi

So I've been looking into this new feature: "Add support for DeoVR haptics buttons (Return to base, Pause script, Manual mode, Edging mode) to be used with shortcuts". Very interested in getting this to work but I have no idea how this works. I cannot find it anywhere under the actions I looked through the list manually and also tried searching for things like "edging". How does this work exactly or is there some documentation for you app somewhere? Like, I'm guessing this feature would allow you to map a gesture to set DeoVR into edging mode? Or is this not how it works? Also, since the connect and control option of DeoVR doesn't have the edging range slider. How would this work with Multi fun player (setting an edging range)?

fenderwq

gotta say you did include the lock script feature in record time, thanks again for that!
