I believe that's when she met him but she was with Lyndall so if he did make any moves on her she shut it down but kinda kept him in her back pocket. Bey tells us she was building friendship with him for a year and a half talking on the phone before they ever went on a date or made things official.. no baby. y'all were probably getting to know each other as "friends" for about 3-5 years (16 to 20/21) but she'll never say it. Jay was waiting for her to get up out her situation which he has alluded to in recent years "You had a man, you shut it down until you two had a break" he said that in 713 on Everything is Love. I do believe that they started dating officially when bey was 19 or 20 whatever age she dropped Lyndall but I'm not buying prior to dating that the first time they ever really talked was on the flight to MTV's spring break.. she had been in the same rooms as him so many times before then! bey was probably on the phone with him and kicking it with him along with DC at awards shows & events when she was a teenager. not saying she was fucking on that man back then because she had a man but they were mingling for sure, they were options for each other. it's giving dilemma. word to kelly rowland 😂
