We ate the table growing up but now we eat in our rooms because there's no living room(long ass story). I'm the only one who eats in bed though, I don't do anything in it but lounge and sleep(not much of a sweater either🤔), it's not the point, I could easily get up and go eat at the little table. Slobs gonna slob though✌🏾😌.

Oh absolutely eating in your room is due to lack of structure in the household! I’m a hit dog in this debate cause I eat in my bed 🤧But I know exactly where it stems from and it’s 1. My mom was not big on structure. We always did what the hell we wanted to do and also my mom wasn’t the one making dinner. It was us kids soooooo…. And 2. I hated it downstairs. 3. At one point, the grandma was the baby and me and my siblings lived with my Nanna for a few years and she did not play when it came to eating at the table then washing yo dish after. THEN you can go to the room. So I just decided to stick to having no decorum once I moved out 🤣

I was eating in my room/at my computer desk while watching this 😂😂😂 Sorry girl, my food was good too.

As someone who grew up in an unstable household and used to eat in my room/sit in my room all day if I wasn't out w friends, I second supplementing stability in your life as an adult. I HATE being in my bed if I'm not sleeping. I eat at the same times every single day, and I rarely eat fast food because I got fed up w it in my childhood (my mom hated cooking, so we ate out everyday). IDK how some people can grow up like I did and not vow to never live like that again.

You talk a lot about single parents and specifically single mothers on the Patreon. You usually posit them as brave for not staying in situations that don't serve them or their children. You also speak a lot about why people should not hold such negative connotations toward single parent households, and I agree with you on that point - those negative feelings are usually rooted in misoygny, patriarchy, anti-Blackness, and a host of other things. I will be honest and say that it took me a while to let go of some of my harbored feelings about single parent households because as someone who grew up in one, it was hard to hear you speak about them in such a positive light when the realities where sometimes anything but. And while I have definitely sat myself down and thought deeply about my feelings on the matter, I did/do think that there was always a little nuance missing from your perspective. I think this video, the part where you talked about structure, showcases that. It is very difficult to have structure when one person raises multiple kids, juggles multiple jobs, deals with multiple doctor's appointments, and so much more. I think that when we speak about single parent households on the Patreon in the future, it would make an interesting conversation to explore some of its nuances as well.

A friend and I went to Chili's. We had 2 drinks each, and each got our own sampler appetizer plate. Why was the bill total $140! Neither of us even get an entre. If you are an adult who drinks, that bill won't be less than $150, Hell, even mocktails are up in price.

As I always do, i save all the Augmas videos until Friday or Saturday so I can binge watch; but today is Sunday and i knew i was gonna take out my hair and i would need entertainment. I say all that to say, please don't think you "been on here too long" cause i could never think that lol.

I’m definitely one of those ones who grew up with 0 structure, so when I first became an adult, I always tried to implement structure into my own life wherever I could. I’ve been falling off for a while now though, so the convo at the end was really motivational 😭💖

Yeah not getting drinks is the key to a $100 meal 😂

If you don’t drink (or drink at home) you can get great food and have a $100 date 😆
