Kenya giving Muslim down 🙂‍↕️🤌🏾

Abisola

Shannon Sharpe is one of the worst interviewers on the internet and that's why his videos are 3 hours. He has no direction, no preparation, and no control.

Mel

I was a big lil nas x fan, and I'm still rooting for him, but he took too much time off after Montero. I was in support of his restful era but it became clear it went from a break to being afraid to put anything out. he teased a whole EP worth of songs and the fans were begging for him to release them, and he didn't. Down Souf Hoes still isn't out and I saw him perform it live on the Montero tour. He does the shenanigans because his self doubt is so consuming. It's a major theme in his music that he's always worried about how he's received. By doing memes, he controls his reception, then when he gets love or a laugh, he feels safe enough to be more vulnerable. When people get to mad he gets scared and doesn't put anything out for a while.

Mel

No kenya I was confused with the white girl rapping beef too. Beyond confused. This was not fun mess for me this was utter foolishness. And the way women have been talking about Alabama have been so disgusting it made me sad to think of how much women as a collective have regressed.

victoria

Chile they can name what it is, persuasive(doja cat even shouted it out and sza featured on it), nissan altima, alter ego, denial is a river, please stop playing on doechii head

loveme4me

White girls have always ran pop lmao 😂

Victoria Yohou

Doechii had a hit song “what it is” back in 2023. Also I don’t mind Doechii being an industry plant, considering there are so many white industry plants out here.

Victoria Yohou

The economy could tank tomorrow and I’ll use the last bit of money in my account to pay for this subscription. Love you, Kenya!

Sthephany Delgado

Yeah I was all the way off apparently lmao

OneTwoTrees

The fact that those yt girls are beefing over an abusive loser is disturbing

Wandee

I honestly believe doechii is the plant bro i can guarantee that you ask any person, even a person who is on social media often, they can’t name at least two songs or know two songs that she has made. There’s no hits, the streams don’t match the populations reception of her music, she a feature with fucking Katy Perry. I just don’t believe it.

Jamara hill

My guess is Sabrina is the plant. I dunno if I think that but I think Kenya thinks that. I also think Tylas career could be in trouble in some parts of the world bc to an international audiences ear, the music sounds too similar to water. As for lilnasx, it’s hard to have mainstream longevity in antics and shock value. Like you said, even the people that should like his music, don’t. And I think it’s bc there’s something kinda cringe about him now.

Stef

Baby Doja is a terrible example.

Nay

Just FYI, Bhad Bhabie looks the way she does rn because she has cancer.

DariaanMichelle

As someone who had been listening to Doja for 2-3 yrs before Moo even came out, she was definitely not an industry plant. She had multiple solid projects out before Moo, so it made sense for her to be signed already. Sure, she might not have had diehard stans, but she did have a pretty stable fanbase of Tumblr girls (me and my friends for instance) who liked underground music and found all their artists (think the weeknd, sabrina claudio, kali uchis, even travis scott) from other people's Tumblr blogs.

DariaanMichelle

The Cécred clarifying shampoo is the BESTTTT clarifying shampoo I’ve ever used. It started my addiction. I hate this for me.

Danielle Chisolm

Tbh my niece and I were blasting Danielle’s song in the car the other day lmao 😂 if anything, she raps wayyyy better than Alabama. Danielle’s comebacks were so funny 😂 I do feel bad for her personal life though. Raising a newborn (or maybe she’s a few months old) while your bd is basically cheating on you time and time again with your ex-friend. No guidance at all. Travie please come get your daughter!!

Dani

Lil Nas x needs to go back to his country roots. Country is back in fashion now. Also, Kenya’s industry plant is Sabrina lol

Valerie

correct, her debut album has some sleeper hits. ‘candy’ and ‘wine pon you’ went triple platinum on instagram edits, and that’s the most authentic type of leg up you can get. it’s kinda how flo milli got her start with ‘in the party’. all to say, doja has been in the public conscious, it just took moo for her to stand on her legs, flat footed.

risa kim

This has my crying laughing 😂 She’s 209% more careful than her “Haile Beiber get a job” era (which I do miss, but can appreciate moving to gentler waters)

Ian

Kenya i think you need to explain to people what an industry plant actually is 💀

shandog

She was on disney before olivia 😭😭

shandog

I think there needs to be a new word for when record labels start funneling money into you after you have a big hit vs when they funnel money into someone to fill a trend in the industry they see as lucrative. I also think these things are not mutually exclusive. And that is where the confusion occurs in between who is an industry plant and who is not.

Ola Ogun

I am going to say this. One of two of you might be A&R reps but most of us aren’t. Maybe artist like Tyla are getting funding because the numbers make sense for the people seeing them. 25m monthly listeners and a big international following. America isn’t the only nation on earth guys

Kitty Kat

I’m probably too late but did you watch traitors season 3??

Trinelle

Doja cat had "So High," though, which was a SoundCloud hit. I think "Go Down," had a moment too before Moo (it was on a TV show or movie...? something like that). People talk all the time about how Doja was their SoundCloud queen before Moo happened, and the evidence is there. I do agree that the label capitalized on Doja's weirdness once Moo happened, but like, they're kinda supposed to. Plus, she literally had french fries in her nose in the genius video thumbnail. Of course that's gonna call attention. With Doja being a troll, she could have easily remained a meme artist, but she was able to sustain by being heeellaaaa online with her audience, making songs they liked (Tia Tamera), and had the live performances to keep eyes on her. So the label was slowly giving her more and more (the Doja-in-bad-wigs era) until they whipped out the big budget for Hot Pink. Doja's antics piss me off but yeah it may just be your tl cause Doja had the YouTube/SoundCloud girlies HOOKED from what I saw. They wanted their thicc light skin weird girl in the front baaaaddllyyy. The way you feel about Doja is how I felt about Chappelle though at first so I get why having a differing algorithm can make a difference. It really shows the state of the industry if anything. Especially with your point on Tyla. I thought she was just a South African artist I simply didn't know about when I saw she had mad videos before Water...but then when I read she had a record deal and videos out the gate I was like...all this money for a NEWLY signed artist...? Idk how common that is.

Lilac S.

Yeah, but I think the inconsistent definition is just because it's muddled by fanfare, so it got lost in the sauce. Someone else made a comment that has a pretty sound definition: Basically an artist that pretends to have organic roots when really they had a push via nepotism, industry connections, etc. It's why Billie Eilish was a pioneer example, because when she broke out, her claim to fame was that Ocean Eyes was just an innocent "SoundCloud discovery," since we were in the SoundCloud era at the time...when really she had connections in the industry already and wasn't just "a girl in her bedroom who accidentally made a hit with her brother." Or Gracie Abrams with her "ABC" TikTok scandal, where she was seemingly singing in her bedroom on TikTok and got suspicious comments telling her to make a song using the alphabet...when that comment was from an Atlantic exec the whole time. Fans have turned obvious examples like those into, "There's someone who after years suddenly got money poured into them? There's someone overexposed that I don't like? INDUSTRY PLANT." So its meaning got lost.

Lilac S.

Doja is my industry plant bc it still doesn’t make sense how quickly everything happened for her. Mind you, she went viral on twitter with Moo! and it wasn’t necessarily much more viral than any Flo and Chloe’s songs on there, no shade. All the other girls got their push from TikTok. The difference is Doja was already signed before ANYTHING went viral at all. Not 1 stan account at all. I’ve stumbled upon all the other girls fans at least once, Doechii stans were trying to get people interested in her youtube medley. Even Chappell had a few gay stans praising her here and there begging people to pay attention. This NEVER happened for miss Doja or at least not on my tl. Sabrina is a Disney actress I need you guys to be serious like … she’s been doing this with a cute established fanbase. Let me add this, I can find you thousands youtube videos of people reacting to all of this girls before they went viral bc stans love to force randoms to react to their faves stuff, I want you all to do a deep dive and find me people being enthusiastic about doja before anything went viral. Tyla is another one you just won’t find much about but was giving you music videos as if she had a whole fanbase behind her

OneTwoTrees

Doja because who told her to be at the Oscar’s after all her mess?

Catlady972

Like Kenya said in this video, there is no consensus on what industry plant means. So I don’t think anyone can really be right or wrong about their guess

Roheena

That makes sense; I guess everyone has different definitions because obviously it’s not confirmed that industry plants exist. I was just going by the context of Kenya saying out of all those artists, there is one she believes the industry decided “it’s their time.” Otherwise none of them are industry plants in the sense that they just popped out of nowhere; tbh I think that phenomenon is very rare if it even happens at all.

Roheena

i don’t know?? by that definition, i think she would be considered an industry plant, but i also think that social media in general has a lot of different definitions of the word. when i think of an industry plant, i think somebody who just popped out of nowhere and immediately became super successful?? not someone who was consistently putting out music and not seeing success but they had a record label behind them who saw their potential and really believed they would have their moment so they kept funding them…idk tbhh😭!

brooke u.

I think that’s the point though, right? She kept flopping and yet her record labels decided that it was worthwhile to keep giving her budget for each subsequent project (this does not typically happen for unsuccessful artists)… to me “industry plant” just means someone who the ‘powers that be’ decide has star potential and don’t give up on until their moment happens, and there’s nothing wrong with that IMO nor does it mean she didn’t work really hard. Sabrina was a Disney girl—she’s conventionally super beautiful, talented (vocals, competent songwriter, can dance), charismatic, has a built in fanbase—it makes a lot of sense that industry executives saw an inevitable rise for her. Personally, I always thought it was just a matter of time before she made it

Roheena

Yes Hollywood Records, which is the Disney label; she had to finish her contract with them before moving on. She still got opportunities to execute her own creative vision at other record labels despite all 4 of those albums essentially making no noise

Roheena

You say this but on another comment mention “Tyla hate” which tells me you lack nuance about how she speaks. Nothing Kenya said about Tyla was hateful, if anything she’s literally begging for another hit to certify her longevity.

Mariah L.

Facts. "Unpopular for X amount of years then suddenly everywhere," is not interchangeable with industry plant imo. Cause if that were the case then I don't wanna hear nobody get mad if Tinashe starts getting more money and "plant" allegations.

Lilac S.

THANK YOU!! I don't understand the Sabrina guesses cause like...do people not remember the Olivia fans speculating her being "that blonde girl" from Driver's License? I'm not even a stan but I feel like some people calling her a plant maybe don't remember their pop history (no shade). "Nonsense" was her "Water" before the blow up. I agree with you though that with a little more work on her image (and her live vocals tbh), she could be a steady force in pop since she's fun.

Lilac S.

lil nas x needs another moment! like industry baby was a MOMENT. that song was everywhere at one point like it was all over social media, it was on the radio 24/7, i even remember hearing it in a few stores! i saw another comment saying this and i can’t find it, but i want to add onto what they said! lil nas x needs to get serious and stop trolling for a while. celebrities troll, a bunch of young celebrities do and i mean that’s just the name of celebrity right now. sza lies for fun 24/7, doja is full-time troll (for better and worse), chappell roan has absolutely no media training (“it’s a twink at google!”), and it’s all fun and games! the difference between them and lil nas x is that the music is good and they have a loyal fanbase. lil nas x is too insecure in his skill and his place in rap to believe he can make a good song (which he obviously can), and he doesn’t really have a core fanbase… he also needs to better team (and a finsta)! like you said kenya, they don’t understand the climate that we’re in and that’s not to say that lil nas x needs to pander to the conservatives, but it would help to understand what antics are gonna land well and what isn’t 😭!!

brooke u.

just for the comments…i don’t think sabrina could really be considered an industry planet tbh??? like if somebody’s been in the industry for a LONGG time, and just hasn’t got much traction but they randomly blow up because of a single, is that really an industry plant?? (short answer, no.) like i do believe that after people started paying more attention to sabrina bcz of the olivia stuff and emails i cant send, forces inside of hollywood started pouring into her… but i feel like people are also completely ignoring the fact that sabrina released a song in the midst of the olivia situation (skin) and it flopped. she didn’t start taking off fr until she released “because i liked a boy” and “nonsense” (really nonsense was her breakout hit but bilab blew up on tiktok and they both came months after the olivia situation). so, i would say that she got a lot more EYES on her, but i don’t think that people behind the scenes really started pushing her until emails i can’t send began to genuinely do well. regardless! I DONT GIVE A DAMNNN 🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️‼️ i’ve been an on-and-off lover of her music since she was a disney doll and i enjoy the music now! though i do 100% agree when people say that her aesthetic lacks a concise vision but im okay with that lol! i think she’s still figuring out who she wants to be as a mainstream pop artist (and i know people say like, “she has like 7 albums!” which is true…but she made those when she was like 13-19 so i think a good chunk of those were just play-play and the others were pure experimentation). but yea, that’s babygirl! also, i feel like alabama and danielle have a fan base of primarily black men?? of course there’s bw sprinkled here and there, but i feel like bw are just entertaining the messy beef of it all. the primary ppl IN their fan base, is bm because they’ve always been the first ppl to allow white women to put on blackness as a caricature and they’re also the first people to ignore the weird doings of other black men, which is why barely anybody is talking about the fact that those two girls have far too many predatory men in their circle. also the fact that like at the end of the day, those two girls are white….danielle telling alabama that she’s not invited to the cook out genuinely made me giggle because she’s not either?? but, i think that the weirddd black men in her circle have long since allowed her to believe that she is basically a black woman.

brooke u.

also nobody in the comment section knows the meaning of the term "industry plant" JLO and cardi b are plants [maybe even elviis ] if someones carrer doesnt match up with theirs then theyre not a plant theyre just a celebrity you do not know the backstory of.

anuschilis

call me by your name did land well with a lot of people of course there were people who were mad af but don't nobody care bout them. the one that didn't land well was J.CHRIST. I literally remember the fallout of that song even I moved away from nas because it was just pointless antics. I don't like antics in anything music, movies, tv, or books NOTHING. that song was just mocking christians [which I don't care about mock it all you want] to get hype instead of being a good song which NAS is more than capable of making hes insecure. he'll even tell you that and he trolls entirely too much. he should've been focusing on his career and had a separate unknown account for the stupidity he wanted to engage in. nstead he chose to put out repetitive meaningless singles with a storm of controversy running after them instead of talking to someone about his self image. now even the people who were ready to die behind him are no longer checking for him, probably forgot he existed, incredibly tired of the music landscape were currently in, and just are looking for something new and of higher quality. im going back to older music and celebrities because they were more interesting back in the day [atleast the ones who's legacy have survived are more interesting]

anuschilis

😩💕

carly gill

This was jam packed office hours. Random but as someone who doesn’t engage with sports I love when Kenya talks about sports it’s so fun.

Ola Ogun

like they literally follow the same playbook lol

Dejavu

I love this comment hehehe

Dejavu

Same Chappell’s blow up is actually the most organic to me, followed by Doechii and Doja

Mariah L.

I like her but Sabrina is def the plant 😭 and was specifically set up as a follow up to Olivia

Mariah L.

Michael and Taylor Russell are doing a movie together! a remake of Thomas Crown Affair. Taylor will be playing his love interest but it won't surprise me if they end up "dating" after filming their movie.

Nina Mosley

shannon sharpe is one of the worst interviewers i’ve ever seen oh my god. he’s soooo corny, no type of integrity. him and stephen a on first take is the worst thing to happen to tv.

joi

Sabrina industry plant

Keana James

According to Wikipedia as well. “Industry plant is a pejorative[1] used to describe musicians who become popular through nepotism, inheritance, wealth, or their connections in the music industry rather than on their own merits. “

Selene

I think you're mixing up nepo babies w/ industry plants. I think of industry plants as artists who claim they have organic and indie beginnings, but they get a lot of money put behind them or get rlly successful v quickly

rudi!!!

chappell’s the industry plant 🤭

Kenya Moore

Shannon kiki'ing with Andrex Schartz said it all. I hope he didn't know who he was because seriously smh

Rainy Feathers

I've been on the journey since early days YT - wig review sitting on the floor at college days so I know what I've observed. Its not about an opinion or two that I disagree with . It's the overall vibe and feeling that this space carries now.

phum

I also saw that JM movie. They gonna think it’s an autobiography Chile. If I was him I would have buried it idk

Alan Hill

Real I've been listening to her on and off since 2014 we've been here

Jill

Now why I just went through the last 10 videos to see if I left in me turning off camera and I haven't....now abrupt ending I will claim

kungfu

As the “general public,” I forgot about Tyla and didn’t even know she was releasing music

Arturo Moroyoqui

like them girls been hanging around GROWN MEN FOR YEARSSSSSS

kungfu

like just lost

kungfu

why im trynna figure out where I need to put my RHOA thoughts cause I have many

kungfu

Wait not us having the same exact taste, I want the steamer too 😭

Jaz

Ayyyyeee I just made my first decree purchase so we both got our package this week <3

Jaz

I love Sabrina and she is talented but somebody powerful def saw the nonsense outro gimmick go viral and started throwing money at her

Bran

I love office hours

Ashlen

Sabrina is the industry plant but at least she’s worked hard. Her fans tried to claim short n sweet as a sophomore album and she’s like 7 albums deep

Kendall

I thought industry plant meant they were related to someone powerful usually in that industry. Even though it’s clear they don’t have the juice but their career is being pushed everywhere. That phrase now means someone clearly talented who is being overexposed atm and you tired of them.

Selene

Those first 4 albums were under a different label though. I think it truly just snowballed from nonsense/feather success to what ultimately became espresso. Was it intentional? Well yes but plant idk.

Kayla Sanders

What are your thoughts on the rhoa cast shakeup?

Tev

sabrina’s fanbase has been loyal to her since the very beginning what are we even talking about in the comments

lorena

Been trying to use up my current hair products first before I buy Cecred. Wish I had known about the sale 😩, but I’ll probably wait till it’s in the Ulta store.

Brianna Barr

i was thinking about lil nas x the other day. we're in our conservative moment and white america is definitely not messing with him. black men also despise him for being gay. that leaves black women and gay people and i dont think hes making music that especially appeals to either. who is his core audience?

Willyne Smith

Kenya called her debut album “grassroots” later in this video, so I don’t think that’s who she was suggesting

Roheena

Kenya literally said she likes her & wants her to succeed ?? It’s not “hate” to tell the truth, which is that people tend to overstate how commercially successful Tyla is

Roheena

Tbf she doesn’t have much of a back catalog because she was working towards an album (with very different image & branding) when her previous record label dropped her, then she kind of floundered for a few years releasing singles independently, until she was finally signed with a diff label and could release her debut album in 2023. I feel like it became a sleeper hit last year because of how much people loved Good Luck Babe, plus her viral festival performances

Roheena

I need to know your thoughts on Karen going to jail chile omfg

Ramone Paris

The full peace sign was so cute

Danielle A

She said before she gets a bunch of her sweaters from Gap - I looked it up and Gap has some sweaters that look like this but I’m not sure if this one’s really Gap

Danielle A

i don’t think any of the girls are plants but i could see chappell being planty bc of the lack of a significant back catalog and the timing of her blowing up vs when the music was actually released. again i like her it’s just my guess 😭

simone

Chappell has also been trying to make her music career happen for almost a decade. I think Sabrina fits in that category best because, like Kenya said, usually the money pot runs dry for an artist who keeps flopping but it never did for Sabrina

Roheena

As someone who knew of her and enjoyed her music before she blew up last year, I’m curious what makes it seem like she’s a plant to you. I feel like she’s the opposite tbh

Roheena

Out of those I’d say Tyla is the plant but she gave me ART so call me a botanist I guess.

Keith Primas

Sabrina must be the one you think is the industry plant… and I can’t disagree! The Disney background, random Taylor Swift friendship & cosign right in time for her to be an opening act on the Eras tour, multiple albums basically flopping over the course of a decade and yet still so much money went into making this moment happen for her (like you said, most of the time the pot runs dry after an unsuccessful era)… it’s no coincidence lol.

Roheena

Kenya you should watch Yellowjackets!! It’s so entertaining

Mycah

Sabrina is def the plant they needed a cute white girl to run pop again. Blonde blue eyed and petite

Mycah

I think water was a genuine hit and her popularity in the beginning was genuine

Mycah

Absolutely 😂 they literally randomly decided to playlist her to death off one song making noise.

Mycah

Sabrina been grinding the real industry plant is tyla it’s obvious

ceeitrus

This video is EATING

Anastasia

i feel like out of that list chappell the most planty but that’s not a slight i enjoy her songs!😭

simone

What about these takes strike you as unkind? If anything, I think she’s gotten kinder over the years. Her saying something you may not like or agree with does not equal unkind.

Imani Branch

oh sister, where is this sweater from? i need.

Colby

Stop the industry plant part is so messy but it’s Sabrina😭

Nooneomo

EXACTLY THIS

Angelique

I think Tyla is the REAL industry plant. It's just so obvious that they are desperately trying to fill the Rih/Beyonce Lane.

Angelique

"the blacks" like dont pmo

Alexis

THANK YOU!!!! something everyone seemed to be missing about the danielle / alabama fight is that all the anger should be directed to the WEIRD ASS MEN who hang w/ and harm these girls!!! (I checked both their ages and alabama is 19 and danielle's 21; just too young 😵‍💫) they both need to do something, anything else, ESPECIALLY alabama bc why is Travis Barker of blink 182's daughter in fuckass rap beef?!

rudi!!!

“I’m really giving yall Muslim” iktr lol

Jocelyn

I don't even know what in this video is reading as unkind to you. Honestly, Kenya says pretty much the same stuff on YT but just expands on Patreon

Diana

Kenya I think this is one of of the few, if not the only, times you have not ended a video abruptly and showed you turning off the camera !!!

diego

Kenya you said a word when you said Black men aren’t good fans, then talked about Lil Nas X. His fanbase should be a bunch of girls and gays, yet some of his biggest haters are other Black gay men.

aj◇

I'll say it every time, they need to STOP with the Tyla/Rihanna comparisons. It wasn't just the hits that made Rih the pop icon she is today, so if we aren't even getting consistent Tyla bops then her team/fans need to make her tagline something else PLEASE. As for LNX, I think he's grown as a rapper, but I'm not sure he's grown as an artist* if that makes sense. I think part of his shakiness is not only the gimmicks but that he seems to...just copy/paste what he sees, even referencing himself. I know nothing is original, but he can be almost too derivative imo. I'm not crazy bout the HOTBOX hook, but we'll see how this era goes. As someone who has followed Doechii since her YouTube days and saw the exact moment Isaiah Rashad commented on her Girls MV...the industry plant label on her is wild. Out of everyone on the list, I can only suspect that Tyla would be the plant if anything. But ONLY because the others have had a significantly longer grind (Doja, Sabrina, and Chapelle grinding for nearly 10 years). Within those years, you see where each of them were hitting the little strides they could before their true breakout, and they were each building a mini cult following (think Charli XCX). Whereas Tyla was signed straight out of high-school and had a debut single get instant success. It's giving Billie Eilish origin story. 😂 Just a guess though at the end of the day.

Lilac S.

Great points about Shannon Sharpe. Andrew Schultz can smell a silly Black man from a mile away. Ugh

carly gill

🙋🏾‍♀️if you knew as soon as Kenya said she bought something from Pattern you knew it was the Steamer. I’ve been eyeing it too 😩

Evette

As a Canadian when I be seeing yall w yall Cécred I just be thinking oh yall got money fr

Evette

There’s nothing she’s said here that doesn’t sound like any of her YT videos. In fact I’d argue she was meaner on YT back in the day (which is why she hid a lot of those videos lmao).

Chantiel McKeiver

muslim roots in ramadan, don’t play with ha!! you look so cute with your scarf ik you was stepping on the girls in high school LOL

risa kim

“because shannon sharpe is dumb!” is one of my favorite kenya quotes that i’ll randomly say outta nowhere & i was waiting for you to say it in this ep!

MJ

Now if she's thinking Sabrina, I'm glad they finally planted my girls tree cuz thise Hollywood records trenches were weary😂😂

Kayla Sanders

and then Alabama is just following the Kylie Jenner playbook, a bored little rich girl with no identity and no self esteem using black women aesthetics to get attention, chilling around black ppl, dating a bunch of yn rappers for validation, I guarantee within a year or 2 she’ll rebrand back to being white when she gets caught up in some nonsense and then she’ll be like “I was in a dark place” “that wasn’t the real me” like all these white nepo babies do, but regardless, at the end of the day, the common denominator with both these girls is an ain’t shit nigga making them both look stupid, and I have to wonder WTF Travis barker is doing to where his daughter is doing all these antics, the girl is literally 18 and she’s getting called everything under the sun but a child of god

ceeitrus

Ppl make up new ppl every day bc I never heard of Alabama before

anjelica j

Really miss Kenya when she was on YT and provided a nuanced view but with authenticity and spice. The Patreon takes are so - not kind.

phum

I think the Tyla hate might be a little forced. She's young and has star power which is enough as a start.

phum

Same!!!!

carly gill

I do want updates on the steamer!! I've been curious about it for a while

Bekah

I think chappel is a plant but I think u might be thinking of Sabrina

anjelica j

I ordered my cecred during the anniversary sale too…. Hoping for a life changing hair wash ….

Dee

Perfect timing! Yes for the Black Women praise! We truly are the best supporters when we see authenticity, and our high standards are met. 🙌🏾 Kenya’s content is top-tier! I love it here! 💕🙏🏾

carly gill

My current theory on Tyla is that everything is there but they’re scared to break away from her core sound (amapiano) to officially get into the big leagues. Tyla needs that song that takes the essence of that sound/genre but obviously gears it towards a commercial pop hit. But I think they’re scared that she will get backlash because it will deviate from that sound which is heavily connected to the South African music scene. It’s like if Rih kept making Pon De Replay instead of SOS/Umbrella.

Eric

it’s funny how black men don’t realize white women use them for social and cultural currency, while in the same token white women don’t realize black men use them as a prop to tote around bc they perceive proximity to whiteness as a come up and think that validates their wealth and status, meanwhile they’re both in community with EACHOTHER to degrade and demean black women so as far as I’m concerned they can both go to hell, however I DO have a soft spot for Bhad baby bc the girls been getting used and abused for basically most of her life, she was abused by her mom, abused by that facility that dr Phil put her in, abused and used by a bunch of nasty ass rappers and producers that were basically preying on her since she was 13, and now she getting abused by her BD (they married btw) AND she got cancer, I literally saw a video of her on live talking about her husband hitting her and she literally doesn’t acknowledge what he did was abuse and blamed herself like girl, ima pray for her, and I hope she realize that man ain’t it and get herself and that baby outta there

ceeitrus

It's either chappell or Sabrina but Im going with chappell😭 That 6 albums asterisk is making me hesitate to say her idk😂

Kayla Sanders

Who’s your guess 😭😭

Danielle A

Yea she got 6 albums 😭

Kayla Sanders

Unrelated but Kenya you would make SUCH a fabulous A&R 😭 I need you to run my marketing campaign chile

JT

Shannon so raggedy

KRYSTAL

LMAO THE INDUSTRY PLANT something tells me it’s Sabrina but she’s been grinding for over a decade hasn’t she

Danielle A

Me personally? Sabrina is an industry plant (check the Disney car facts) but I’m not even mad at it! I finally went and listened to Short n Sweet and Sabrina is cuuuuute! Still a plant but a plant I can stand behind

JT

The doechii “industry plant” of it all is saaaaaaur played, people say anything. The POINT is that these artists BREAK THROUGH

JT

Calling it now I think Sabrina is the industry plant in the list Kenya gave

Jjjjj

Ayra Starr is the “African pop star” that people wanna make Tyla to be so bad, and I do mean that derogatorily (at miss Tyla and particularly her fans)

JT

The most stupid beef. You know the coons are tap dancing for massa!🙄

Syd

Girl oh my god how long do your in depth hair routines take

Danielle A

(Me too)

Kayla Sanders

aliya

Danielle A

I work in a bookstore, and I love your setup - but tell me why I wanna organise your shelf 😭 this is not shade, but I itch to get my hands on any bookshelf I see

nanfuckit

also 100% agree with the “celebrity not really dating each other” conspiracy. it’s literally giving publicity stunt i feel like we have similair music taste/takes so … chappell roan is my guess for industry plant from the list of artists you gave lol. i hope i’m right lol

Abisoye

I been debating getting the steamer

KRYSTAL

no guts no glory - chaps actual - sabs

beeg

Male rappers’ biggest gig right now is showing up in the WWE Raw crowd, just to easily get overshadowed by Macaulay Culkin.

C

I love the cecred treatment mask and I was so happy for the sale

KRYSTAL

will you post some sort of review on the steamer please??! i’ve been eyeing it as well but haven’t bitten the bullet yet bc like you said, it’s expensive 😭😭

Abisoye

Who is the industry plant 🤣

trojansailor

I think tyla’s festival run this summer/fall is gonna be helpful to her and perfect timing for her to have a hit

Natalia

Michael B Jordan said he’d want to work with Jonathan Majors again…that’s a wrap from me. What PR specialist told him to say this or got fired for telling him not to is my question.

C

tyla is signed to epic record. they are HORRIBLE. shake ah should've been a hit as well. that's a party hit!

Nini

Patterns clarifying shampoo and intensive conditioner work for me. I have mixed hair texture (4c in the back, but the front and the top is noticeably a bit looser). I also have thick, HIGH porosity hair. The time it took for my first time at a salon in years to get my hair to retain some moisture and not suck it up like a sponge was INSANE.

C

Pls clock it with tyla..they act like she’s bigger than Chloe, Normani for some reason

Jordan Nwokeafor

I literally put in a cecred order like 2 days before that sale was announced I was MADDDD 😭😭😭 (also I hope you like the clarifying scrub cuz it's actually my fav product I've used from them it makes their other shampoo lather SO NICELY afterwards my hair has never felt this lovely pls update when you've used I'm curious what you think)

Ray

Hey girl 🤗 happy Friday

Nikki Pierre

It’s the caption for me lol. Kenya, how do you feel about Tate McRae? Do you have thoughts on her as a pop star?

Gabriel Benton

God i was literally just watching old videos cause I missed you so bad, Kenya stans up!!!

Viet Dau

I needed thissssss

Halimaa

Abbie Nuñez
