So many mission impossibles. I like how they show cars, computers, phones, and technology progresses with each movie. I think 1 is still my favorite because I remember seeing it when it first came out in the 90s and just went: "Whoa. Never seen that before!" (although the opening with plane scene was epic!). I think what annoys me about this one was Ilsa (nice Casablanca easter egg and how she was willing to give it all up and walk away with Ethan, same thing with the Ilsa in Casablanca. All's that was missing was the: "Here's looking at you kid") - Ilsa could've made things so much easier if she just sat down and worked out a plan with Ethan. As for the villains, I feel the more personal they are to Ethan the better the movie and the villains from the first three really stick out. I hope they find us that kind of villain again going forward. Great to watch it with you Mary!
