Oh, I just wanted to add, don't touch Speed 2. It's terrible, and nearly everyone will tell you the same thing.

Fast paced and about a train … try Runaway Train 1985 or Silver Streak 1976 Mary, You have probably seen Baby Driver and Collide but they are both great fast paced car movies

Now on to Speed 2, inarguably the best movie sequel ever made... right?

Jay Davis

If you want to watch another fast pace racing film, I highly recommend Days of Thunder. Stars Tom Cruise, Robert DuVall, Nicole Kidman, Michael Rooker, Randy Quaid, John C. Riley, and Cary Elwes.

Cody Price

Being Dutch, Jan de Bont's first name is pronounced "Yahn". Among other work, he was previously the cinematographer on "Die Hard".

Tim Heron

If you want to watch Dennis Hopper’s only Oscar nominated performance, checkout Hoosiers. One of the best basketball films ever made. Also stars Gene Hackman RIP.

Point Break (1991) is another classic Keanu Reeves action film. It's a must. Also The Replacements (2000) is a Keanu Reeves sports movie if you're looking for any sports films.

I'm at the point where you paused, so I wanted to leave a few remarks while the movie's stopped. I don't think Sam (the driver) was being stupid at the point near the start on the bus when he wouldn't stop for Jack. He could hear him yelling, but he couldn't hear what he was saying (established slightly later when Jack is in the car trying to tell him he's a cop and Sam kept saying "What?!" In that same beginning part, Jack didn't hold up his badge right away (because it's hard to take it off a belt and hold it up while sprinting) so Sam didn't see it. So, Sam hears some guy who looks like someone who's mad at a driver because he won't stop, running after the bus, and then Jack smashes his window. Sam wouldn't let him on because he thought he was a violent would-be passanger who was a danger. He did what he is supposed to do. Annie (Sandra Bullock) said not to let him on for the same reason, because she too didn't know he was a cop. When he got on the bus, Sam had seen the note that said "Bomb On Bus", but Annie didn't. She still didn't know what the hell he was doing, and probably thought he was a psycho. That's why she demanded to know what was happening. When Jack finally had to tell everyone that there was a bomb on the bus, the guy with the gun (who was clearly someone who committed a crime and thought Jack was there to arrest him, as established through Jack saying, "I'm not here for you") jumped up and said, "Yeah, there's a bomb? Some funny joke." You asked if he could really think someone would joke about that. Yes. He would. Pranks involving bomb threats are a thing. They don't happen a lot, but they do happen. If I remember correctly, at the time this movie came out, there were several instances where people did that, so his reaction makes sense, when you're not thinking straight and you're scared. It would be easier to cope with it being a joke than it being real. I've been wanting you to react to this movie for a long time. So glad you enjoyed it, Mary. Can't think of other action movies that involve vehicles like this, but a few action movies with a similar breakneck pace from the 90s: -Air Force One (Harrison Ford) -The Fugitive (Harrison Ford, and he's fantastic in it, and the movie is incredible) -The Rock (Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage) This will be a strange place to recommend this, but after watching a bunch of your animated reactions lately, I highly recommend you react to a Dreamworks animated film called: -The Wild Robot The movie is fantastic, I think you would adore it, and it's really popular with reactors right now, so if you aren't getting slammed with recs for it by now, you soon will be.
