If you want a good human story in the Monsterverse, there is a show on Apple TV called Monarch Legacy of Monsters which is set after the events of Godzilla (2014) & before Godzilla v Kong & this one. This doesn’t have the level of Minus One but it’s still a good human story & add more world building to this universe. It’s only 10 episodes with season 2 currently in production.

Glad you enjoyed this one. With the American films, the monsters are the characters we care for and bring the emotion whereas the humans are there to helped drive the plot. You’re right that there should a balance. This movie completed Kong’s arc from Kong: Skull Island to this one. The next movie they’re making which is set to release in 2027 is said to be more Godzilla focus giving him an emotional arc like they gave Kong. If you didn’t notice that Godzilla became more aggressive as the films progress & its theorized that Mothra’s death in “King of the Monsters” did affect him a bit & having to deal with humans trying to kill him like what happened with Mechagodzilla in the last movie & fighting titans that threaten his rule because he was angry in Godzilla v Kong & this one so I get how stressful that might be for him & I’m like “let him rest”. You might get a bit emotional but the writers confirmed the reason Godzilla loves the colosseum is because it reminded him of his old home that humans blew up in “King of the Monsters” when they were trying to revive him so he’s homesick. However the moment Mothra returned, he calmed down & showing his softer side showing how much he cared for her (and was clearly fan service to people who shipped them as a couple). I think that helped him become more understanding in helping Kong and not see him as a threat anymore.
