This is a childhood favorite, also my dad's favorite. It was played regularly in my house while growing up. I'm now seeing people buying the lamps and putting them in the windows during Christmas. :D It's all for fun. When you mentioned that you wouldn't let your kids go off on their own...In the 1940s, society in general was just safer, and parents gave their kids more autonomy. That was even the case while I was growing up in the 80s. We were allowed to go out with our friends for the whole day, and "be home before dinner."
