It also does a great job of showing how much the sport of Basketball is engrained into the state of Indiana’s culture. Gene Hackman plays High School Basketball Coach Norman Dale, and his team the Hickory Huskers are inspired off a real small town high school basketball team in Milan, Indiana.

The story is based around a thief that becomes a witnesses a murder during his heist. It is a great thriller. Also has Ed Harris, Scott Glenn, and Laura Linney.
