Oh wow! I didn’t realize this was the remake. I haven’t seen this one. The original Evil Dead with Bruce Campbell is entertaining, especially given that it was made on such a small budget. It has a sequel, Evil Dead II, and then the fan favorite Army of Darkness which I think you would enjoy. I’m not really into horror flicks either, but the original movies were enjoyable. I’m with you on getting back to more lighthearted movies. October gets a little heavy since everyone is doing scary movies.
