2023-10-21 19:23:31 +0000 UTCTL:DR The events portrayed in the film The Conjuring were based on real experiences, including investigations of the Perron family. Its insane that this is actually based off a true story. Albeit with the Hollywood magic to it but the story is very real is baffling to me. Me and some aspiring paranormal investigator hobbyists (at the time) wrote papers on this story back in collage. Its crazy what this family went through. Its even more crazy that there was a supposed witch that actually cursed that land and the house is still there to this day, but its a completely different house than whats in this film. Weather you believe in the paranormal or not, the fact remains that there was a crazy woman who hung herself and harmed people and killed a child, and believed in witchcraft enough to in their mind "curse" the land that house sits on. People go the real house to this day to investigate the paranormal and they get some really terrifying stuff sometimes in the form of audio phenomenon or even visuals. It on my bucket lists of places to visit. Plenty of investigations on YouTube if you get curious.
