Another good Adam Sandler sports movie is “The Longest Yard”. And I’ll recommend “The Wedding Singer” again. One of my favourite Adam Sandler movies.

Also, another film that is another unique sports film is Draft Day. Focuses on the decisions made on draft day to make sure you are making the best decisions for your franchise for the players you pick in the draft. Stars Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Dennis Leary, Frank Langella, Chadwick Boseman, and Terry Crews. It really is a realistic take on what goes on during draft day at the team headquarters not just sitting around all day just waiting to pick someone.

Also, another film that is a really good sports film is Moneyball, and really the first film that really focused on what a General Manager does and how he builds a team. Also really focuses on the economic and analytical side of sports and how the Oakland A’s Moneyball philosophy revolutionized the game of Baseball. Also, stars Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Chris Pratt. Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill were both nominated for Academy Awards for their performances in this film. Think you would really like it. Think you would find it interesting how much business decisions go into making a team. Very interesting. :)

My favorite Adam Sandler film is Hustle. It’s currently on Netflix. Another Sports film, but more of a dramedy and more serious. His performance is amazing in it and he actually got nominated for Best Actor at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards this year for his performance in that film. Amazing cast too It’s Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, and Robert DuVall. Adam Sandler is an NBA Scout in the film and this film deals with a subject not really ever done on film. The combine and how a lot of professional sports teams evaluate college and foreign players before they are drafted and how players get ready for it. It also follows the life of NBA Scout and what they have to do for their job which has not really been front and center in a film like this. Really quite interesting. :)
