All the mission impossible movies get better and better coupled with the fact that hardly any CGI is ever used in them and Tom doing all his own stunts. He is to this day now one of the only practical effects stunt actors that still enjoy making movies with as little CGI as possible. Top Gun maverick was the ultimate show case of that as you saw.

Also I never made the connection that the 125 thousand Jim got from from Max was basically the same amount that appeared in Ethan's family's account. That makes so much sense. Good catch Mary. As for your question at the end about why Ethan has that concerned look on his face on the plane I think it's because he knows that he's about to get a mission tape/assignment from the spy agency. Also favorite Mission Impossible, I'd go Rogue Nation or Fallout.
