Is it necessary to watch a Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars more before The Good the Bad and the Ugly?

Not necessary, but well worth it.

2023-05-05 22:57:05 +0000 UTCAnecdote. I promoted all 3 when they came out on video ages ago at MGM and many years later I met his daughter Alison at the premiere of her film "Don't Tell." We shook hands, chatted and when a nerdy fan approached her I was about to leave and she held onto my hand for protection. True story.

2023-04-27 02:25:41 +0000 UTCMary, another great Clint Eastwood western which is not connected to the Man With No Name Trilogy is “The Outlaw Josey Wales”. It’s ahead of its time in how Native Americans are portrayed-with respect. A decade before “Dances With Wolves”. I know you watched “Tombstone”, but you might want to give “Wyatt Earp” a chance. It’s not as good, but it’s still good IMHO. “Legends Of The Fall” is another good one with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins.

2023-04-26 12:48:19 +0000 UTCWatching The Good the Bad and the Ugly first should be fine. Even though it's the third film in the trilogy it actually takes place a couple years before the other 2 movies for some reason.

2023-04-26 11:42:32 +0000 UTCIt might be more fun that way, but it's certainly not necessary. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly stands on its own as a separate movie, and it's also the best of the three, by far.
