re: Squeamish - there's something about harsh reality that makes it worse. I've always said, I can watch someone be brutally decapitated in a movie, but watching someone cut themselves shaving makes me cringe every time, or god forbid snapping a nail. It's something I can easier relate to than some over the top horror gore. I think the fact this was stuff that really happened to people in WWII makes it somehow much worse.
