i do love the progression of this episode because you can tell something's not right.. and obviously the neck tattoos are weird and other more subtle hints... i had theories throughout this ep the first time i saw it too but I never expected that ending

It is a decent adaptation, but it did leave a lot of things out from the manga that could have really enhanced the series. But for an anime-only viewer, it stands on its own fairly well. Hope you enjoy it till the end.
