Roronoa Zoro’s CYOA (Part 2/8) Story
Added 2023-05-23 21:03:54 +0000 UTC“A sword that annihilated an entire race, huh?” Zoro let out confident, smiling as he approached the altar with the two blades on it. “Definitely sounds like something that I should take a closer look at.”
“A fine choice. Almost as if I had made it myself.” Tirluna replied just as smugly, to which Zoro just clicked his tongue.
“So I take it all of your swords are cursed?” Zoro asked as he picked up the sheathed sword Nekomato and scanned it through and through. There was a dangerous aura lingering around the sword, clearly indicating that the sword was miles above common weapons and with power rivaling his own swords. So it definitely seemed like Tirluna was not lying about their quality at least.
“Naturally.” Tirluna answered, surprising absolutely no one with her reply.
“Perfect. Then let's test if the curse of the blade is stronger than my own personal strength and luck.” Zoro said, slowly pulling the sword out of its sheath, which also released a huge wave of energy tinto the room, causing winds to rage and his clothes to flutter.
Even if just pulled out a little bit, Zoro could feel the power coursing through his body, filling him with power he had never grasped before. This was perfect. Zoro knew to always appreciate new strength, especially if it was one that he had never tasted before.
And yet, there was some weird lingering feeling that he just couldn’t shake off. A tingling feeling in his ears of all places, that only intensified the more he unsheathed it. It was a constant tugging and pulling, seemingly trying to get his ears upwards, and… actually moving them.
“What? There is no way this sword is better than me!” Zoro yelled as he tried to pull the sword even harder, yet failed to unsheath it any faster than before. Though what he did do is make him feel like he was pulling on her ears even harder, causing them to slowly change their shape and move up the side of his head.
Another burst of strength to try to pull it apart, but all he did was make his ears more pointy. Another one, through this one just cause green fur to sprout all over the back of his surprisingly cat-like looking ears. And with another burst, he seemed to have moved them to the top of his head, making them twitch as he still tried to final bit of the sword out of its sheath.
But finally, after all that weirdness, he separated the sword from its sheath, causing a brief pain above his butt as a slim cat-tail sprouted out from behind. At first, Zoro actually wasn’t even all that interested in what had happened to him, rather focusing on the sword that he was presented with.
But after a little while the twitching of his ears up above and the swaying of his tail behind him, he just couldn’t ignore it any longer.
“Okay, very funny. What the heck did you just do to me? And don’t think you can get away with it.” He threatened readying the blade which emitted the same faint green aura that seemingly also changed Zoro. Though his main problem was that he still didn’t know where this guardian was even located, since she didn’t give him any clues so far in regards to her position.
“Oh, I think I can get away with more. Much much more~” She said as a soft breeze started to blow through the room, making Zoro’s new tail and ears shiver. Something felt wrong, massively so, but he couldn’t quite point to what exactly that was. So he instinctively readied the sword in his hand and prepared to strike in case something were to happen.
“Don’t forget, if you want to get out of here you just need to escape the cave~” Tirluna said, her voice suddenly sounding a lot different than before. Not different in a tonal sense, but just… different.
“What makes you think that I wouldn’t just cut the mountain in half?” Zoro retorted, giving a smile that told everyone that he would really do it.
“You wouldn’t do that, because that is stupid.” Tirluna replied, stumping Zoro with her reply. “Think about it. Do you really think a treasure trove of famous and legendary weapons would be kept in a mountain that could easily be cut in half? Don’t you think that this grove would have fallen a long time ago in that case?”
Zoro wanted to just prove to this stupid lady that he was right and she was wrong. Cutting something like a stone and metal wall is child play for a swordmaster like him. All he needed to do was brandish his sword and do little more than a swift move, and everything would come crashing down.
Yet somehow, he felt convinced to think Tirluna’s words over again. There was some truth in what she said. Zoro was definitely aiming to become the strongest swordmaster in the world, but with Hawkeye and probably a few others running around, he couldn’t in good conscience call himself the best as he was now. And if this cave was designed to keep even Hawkeye in, then attacking it would just be a waste of energy.
“Hmm… I guess…”
“Oh? Has the muscle head thought things over?” Tirluna taunted.
“Don’t get cocky just because we agree this one time.” Zoro retorted.
“Heh. Do you want to see how many other things we agree on? Because I am telling you now, that I am rarely wrong.”
“Ha! Try to tell me the sky is blue and I might believe you!” Zoro laughed, to which Tirluna simply replied. “You asked for it. Try to deny it them.”
There was a brief silence between the two as if both needed a moment to brace themself for what was about to happen, then Tirluna spoke up with. “The sky is blue.”
Ha. That idiot actually said it. Now all Zoro needed to do was deny it and…
The soft breeze was back in the room again and more distracting to the swordmaster than ever. It was like his newly pointy ears were perfectly positioned, so that every time he tried to think of a witty answer, the wind would just blow into his ears and push his thoughts out the other way.
He really tried to come up with anything to disprove or even disagree with Tirluna, but nothing seemed to stay in his brain. Every thought opposing the guardian was simply blown away, which left Zoro with no choice but to just reply. “Okay, that one was too easy. Naturally the sky is blue, hard to argue with that. But that doesn’t mean that…”
“Then let’s try it again. Let’s try an easy question.” Tirluna interrupted, almost sounding more smug by the second. “What do you think is your gender?”
“What does it look like, you blind voice. Does anything about me look female to you?!?” Zoro replied, almost angry at the question. Yet Tirluna continued regardless.
“Alright then. Name one thing that is so manly about you.” She challenged him, causing him to stare for a moment, before trying to come up with a good answer.
“I could show you my down below, but I doubt you’d be able to handle seeing it. So how about you just check how broad my shoulders are and clean your eyes before… you…”
*Wooosh*
Zoro could hear the wind again, more intense than ever before. It was like the wind was doing its best to stop his thoughts in his tracks, while simultaneously surrounding and constricking his body. He wanted to attack, but that thought was wiped from his head. He wanted to dodge, but that train of thought never went anywhere. So he just stood there and stared blankly as he tried to gather any thought on the matter.
Though the wind did so much more than just stop his throughs, as it also, almost as if to spite Zoro himself, constricted around his shoulders and slowly pressed them together, causing them to shrink too much much much less width of what it was before. And with it, his throat also shrank a lot, taking his face into a much more round shape as well.
“You were saying something about your shoulders? Sorry, I don’t see anything there that would tell me that you are male.” Tirluna replied, snapping Zoro once again out of his blank state.
She was right though. His muscles were intense and his build was strong, but his shoulders left a lot to be desired, especially if he tried to be manly. But even if Tirluna was correct in this case, it didn't mean she was correct all the time.
“Then what about…”
*Wooosh*
As he was just about to mention anything about his core, the wind blew once again, and constricted around his waist. It became tighter and narrower, feeling almost like a belt being fastened to high up above his hips, which were starting to tingle as well. It seemed like every little bit of mass he lost in his core wandered straight into his ass, which really didn’t help his case of being manly at all.
Maybe Tirluna was right all the time and Zoro really was a girl… But then what about…?
*Wooosh*
Once again the wind kicked in, answering all the questions Zoro had before even asking them. His thighs grew a bit thicker and meatier, his face tingled and shifted to become more feminine and even on his chest two subtle mounds appeared, leaving not much if not anything of his manly figure behind.
“You are a girl. Have you stopped doubting me yet?” Tirluna said as Zoro felt getting stared down at. Yet he didn’t actually mind that much at all. In fact, it felt kinda good that she was indeed correct.
“Yes. I believe you.” Zoro said, slowly nodding to himself, a tingle spreading throughout his scalp as he did. It felt like his hair was pushing outward, growing at a rapid pace. He had never felt like this before and never had his hair grown longer than a few centimeters, but right now, he just felt like he should let it go. Like it should cascade down his shoulders and to his middle back. It felt right.
“And because I am always right, naturally you do as I say, correct?” Tirluna asked, making Zoro blink twice at the questions. “Now, if you really always do as I say, I want you to repeat after me: I am an obedient Neko girl.”
This sounded stupid. Why would he do that? That almost sounded like…
*Wooosh*
Zoro felt like his mind was getting cleaned up by the wind once again. Any argument he came up with to resist the command was simply blown out the other ear, leaving him staring empty for a little bit, before realizing: there was no reason to not obey Tirluna. She was always right.
“Okay. I am an obedient Neko giiiiiiiiirl! Aaahhh! Ha!” Zoro couldn’t help but yelp as some movement down below at his private parts had taken place. It felt like a swordfight had just happened, between him and the mysterious wind… and he had lost. Not only the fight, but also his sword.
“Perfect~ Then I guess you are ready for the next room, my dear~” Tirluna said, to which Zoro just blinked for a few seconds. She still needed to recover from what had just happened, even if she wasn’t fully sure what that was. Though Tirluna continued, asking: “Is there anything left in this room you need, because the next room might proof a challenge~”
“If you recommend it, then it must be true, Tirluna!” Zoro yelped and frantically looked around the room, hoping to find something to catch her eye. And luckily for her, she found just the thing.
“I’ll take this with me! I know it is powerful!” Zoro said as she picked up another sword, this one decorated with a brown pelt around its hilt. She looked expectantly into the air, hoping for Tirluna to give her confirmation, though she just answered: “Uhm… yes, it's powerful. And because you are already a catgirl I don’t think the curse will be so bad. Probably?”
With a satisfying smile, Zoro began to draw the sword once again, power similar to Nekomato flowing through her. Though this was slightly different.
The draw of the sword from the sheath was equally difficult so she knew not to push too hard, yet she could still feel something happening to her body because of that. It felt like two halves fought in the middle of her body, her catgirl half and another half she didn’t know she had, which resulted in her feeling quite… unbalanced. But only for a moment.
Call it intuition or pure skill, she managed to calm both halves and let them take over one side of her body each, though the moment she did that her left ear began to itch a lot. It felt like it was being pulled once again, growing longer and much more pointy than even her cat ears were before, reminding her of those of the legendary kitsune more than anything.
Same was happening on her backside, though slightly differently. She felt her cattail move to the side to seemingly make room, before a giant storm of fluff streamed out from her behind, creating the sort of fluffy tail she didn’t even know was possible. It really made her want to cuddle herself with that tail, but that may just be her cat instincts speaking, but she was better than that.
So there she stood, both of the cursed legendary swords in hand, being half kitsune and half cat girl in the middle of the room. She truly felt unstoppable.
“Tirluna! What do you think? Am I ready for the next room?” She asked, swinging her swords with such precision and force that the gust of wind alone might have been able to incapacitate a person. Which also satisfied Zoro a lot.
“Indeed I think so. Though the spirits of the CYOA may only get rougher the deeper you venture into this grove. Your body may yet to have gone through the most drastic change yet.” Tirluna answered.
“As long as you guide me, nothing can stand in my way. I WILL get out of this~” Zoro gave a big smile, stepped forwards and through the only open door in the room, because if there were more than one she might have gotten lost on her way there. Tirluna was not about to risk that again.

The next room over looked nothing like the room before. It was quite loud, water from a flowing river splashing through the middle of the room with a current that didn’t exactly look safe. Or warm for that matter. Zoro had swam through her fair share of Ocean already, though she generally preferred to stay dry… and not risk her life pointlessly.
Luckily there were a few things at her disposal that might help. In the back corners there were a few more of those cured equipment piles, which had a few nice looking swords at their disposal as well. But most importantly, there was a very old and mossy looking bridge that spanned the flooded chasm, though Zoro really couldn’t tell if that bridge would be able to hold her or not.
So instead of trying to think about it to pointlessly, she just asked the only person she knew she could trust 100%. “Tirluna? I am guessing that I have to cross that bridge, right?”
“You have to cross the river, yes. But not the bridge necessarily.” Tirluna explained, as two weapons, both not swords, floated towards her and landed on the ground. “Popular choices to get across are to take one of these cursed weapons and let their magic guide you across. This is the Butterfly dagger ‘Alma’, said to always return to the hand of the fairy queen in times of need, and this is the ‘Abyss drident’, a mighty weapon that even the sea king Neptune doesn’t dare to wield.”
“Which one should I choose?” Zoro asked, ready to follow Tirluna’s every word. Yet…
“I am sorry, but this should be your choice. Everything else would be against the rules.” Tirluna replied before giggling once again. “Now then, Spirits of the CYOA and Zoro: What will it be?”

It seems like Zoro has found a treasure trove of legendary swords and artifacts. Though whether that is a stroke of luck or his downfall is entirely YOUR choice~
