Minifantasy Community Jam 2!

🗓️ Save the date: Friday, 27th October to Sunday, 12th November will be the Minifantasy Community Jam 2! 🗓️

Let's do a small and cozy game jam together! This jam is a Minifantasy Community initiative and is meant to be a fun experience foremost :)

Pixel_Pincher, a veteran member of the community, is the person behind this initiative and he's organising it for all of us.

The idea is to build something small and share the process with each other - no matter the prior experience. This is also a great place to try something new - a new engine or genre, for example.

The only requirements are:

Be part of the Minifantasy community
Stick to the Minifantasy graphical assets, Main asset packs and Patreon extras (you can edit the assets if you need to)
Try to create an experience that fits the selected Jam theme

This year we have a Jam page on Itch

On the Itch page, the community features are not activated to keep the discussions in Minifantasy's Discord (if you haven't joined yet, do it! ). But you can sign up there to get a notification when the jam starts and also to check out all the info there. Please feel free to sign up even if you are not sure yet if you will be able to participate.

We are now in the theme selection phase: Everyone - even if you don't plan to participate - can post theme suggestions on the jam's Discord channel (#minifantasy-community-jams).

Every suggestion is welcome - as a rule of thumb, the theme should leave a bit of space for creativity and different genres. So "Gravity" might be more interesting than "Platformer in Space". The only real limitation is to not repeat last year's theme "Scarcity".

Let's start the hype now and brainstorm some nice theme ideas!
