Minifantasy - True Heroes

You guys have voted, the may Minifantasy asset pack will be Minifantasy - True Heroes.

The pack will focus on three archetypal characters: Barbarian, Druid and Rogue. Each of these characters will come with all the basic usual animations plus special animations dedicated to cover their unique capabilities.

I have made this concept art of a character selection screen based on Diablo with the heroes. I hope it caught weel the feel I want to transmit with this upcoming asset pack :) 

Minifantasy - Pop Culture Characters

I finally got a bit of spare time to start this side project! I'm making a special pack containing a selection of pop-culture inspired characters from movies, tv shows and video games in the style of Minifantasy. 

I promised you guys to make this pack a while ago after we achieved one of the Patreon goals. All the characters included has been requested by the Minifantasy Patreon community. Designing them is being both fun and challenging. Trying to capture the essence of well-known characters into the small size of Minifantasy characters is being a really interesting exercise.

Do you want to put some easter eggs in your game? I think this pack will give you a few resources to do that :)

Since it is a parallel project to Minifantasy, I can't set a fixed date of completion. I'm trying to get it done asap! Thanks for your patience.

Upcoming Changes In The Patreon Tiers

I'm always trying to find new ways to improve what I can offer to the people supporting me on Patreon.

As our community has grown, the original Tier system has become a bit obsolete. When I started my Patreon page, one of my main objectives was to give my supporters the power to influence in the direction of Minifantasy. Today that objective is even more important.

With the current tier system, the power to make relevant decisions is limited to a few Patrons. Everyone can vote in the monthly poll, but only a few can influence what that poll contains. And the same goes for requesting new creatures and characters.

Many times Patrons have expressed their wish to be able to propose themes or have a bit more influence on the direction of Minifantasy, and I couldn't agree with them more. Because of that, I'm working on some major changes that are going to be implemented by the end of May.

I want to list here some of the changes. However, I still polishing the new tiers and the final changes could slightly differ from what I'm about to explain here.

Slime and Goblin tiers will disappear (1USD and 2 USD/m)

• These subscriptions will no longer be available. I decided to remove them due to low popularity. In the lapse of a year, they have been chosen only a couple of times. 

Orc tier will remain unaltered (3 USD/m)

• Orc subscription will remain as it is now. Everyone in this tier will receive new asset packs released on itch every month plus access to the exclusive archive containing all the extra content for Patreon. Also, Orc Tier Patrons can vote in the basic monthly poll to decide the upcoming asset pack.

And now starts the big changes:

Orc Chief tier (5 USD/m)

• All the previous perks and...
• This subscription will gain the right to vote in 3 additional monthly polls (Icons, Pack Features and Creatures) and the right to propose 8x8 icons to be added to the 'Icons monthly poll'.

Troll tier (10 USD/m) - Limited to 10 Patrons -

• All the previous perks and...
• The right to propose an asset pack theme to be included in the basic monthly poll, and the right to suggest a Pack Feature* for an already existing asset pack to be included in the 'Pack Features monthly poll'.

(*animations are excluded)

Mimic tier (20 USD/m) - Limited to 5 Patrons -

• All the previous perks and...
• The right to propose a creature or character with its basic animations and 2 custom animations to be included in the 'Creatures monthly poll'.

Boss lvl50 tier (50 USD/m) - Limited to 2 Patrons -

• All the previous perks and...
• 5 dedicated hours per month to commission any art you need.

Important notes:

• Now all tiers are stackable, a higher tier gets all the perks from the previous ones. 
• The three additional monthly polls will be available for all Orc Chief Patrons (5 USD/m) and above.
• The polls will change from 'allowing only to chose 1 option per Patron/poll' to 'allowing to chose multiple options per Patron/poll'
• Patrons with the right to suggest poll options are allowed to have one suggestion per poll.
• Patrons will be able to change their suggestions at the end of a month during the 'Collection Period' if they wish. Also, Patrons can maintain the previous suggestion if they prefer.
• Except for the Basic poll, the one to choose the upcoming asset pack theme, the options in the additional monthly polls that stay for several months will carry on the votes from past months.
• These additional polls will determine the order of the different options on public priority lists.
• I will work on the entries on the priority list through the month starting from the most voted ones down. depending on the complexity of your choices I will be able to finish with more or fewer entries from a given list during a month.

I know it is a ton of information, hahaha xD but I think it is important to let you know in advance the planned changes in the tiers with enough time.

It may seem complicated but I'm confident that once implemented the system will work smoothly :)
