Captain America: Civil War with Laura Reaction

Yeah I agree with you and in fact it’s a Captain America movie so I think it’s done voluntarily that the audience agreed more with Cap while understanding the point Tony make. Cap in general is also a better person than Tony so we tend to agree more to his logic because Cap ideals are pure when Tony’s ideals are gray (but more realistic). I think It’s also because it’s Cap movie that he won in the end because if we being realistic they no way Cap win against Iron Man even in two vs one but it’s for the good of the story. The untold truth about the murder of Tony’s parents is really devastating because I think everything could happened differently if Cap told the truth to Tony before. Tony could have understand that it’s not Bucky fault and forgive him. Because Tony is impulsive but not dumb, if Pepper Rhodey Happy Bruce Cap and all the people he love and trust would help him understand that’s it’s not Bucky fault despite his anger towards him I think Tony really could forgave him. However, it happened in the worst way because not only does Tony see the murder of his parents on a screen, but also their murderer is right in front of him. All of this could have been avoided if Cap told the truth to Tony earlier. That’s sucks, I would love to see an conversation between Tony and Bucky after he learn the truth. We could see a face of Tony we rarely see a face half angry/sad half emphatic.

I love this movie, because of that complexity. We've got so many threads coming together, and both Cap and Tony's positions on the Accords are rooted in their character. Tony doesn't want the responsibility of losing people on his shoulders any more as he takes it to heart, Cap is more used to collateral damage and he can't trust big organizations after just finding out about Shield and Hydra. Of course all of the politics don't matter in the end - really, Tony basically comes around to Cap's viewpoint when he lies to Ross and runs off to help Cap anyway... but then it becomes about the real conflict between the two men. Cap keeping secrets from Tony and his refusal to lose anyone else from his past, and Tony's inability to get over his parent's death and his hurt at Cap's betrayal. I don't think there is a side to pick here, really. The message the movie leaves us with, with Zemo in his cell, asking us whether if we believe he failed in his mission. It's like Vision says - "Conflict breeds catastrophe." Neither man "wins" - we all lose. We lose the Avengers. That being said, the movie is a classic because the conversation keeps going, and everyone has their own take on it. It's a Civil War, brothers and sisters turned against each other. At least we get a glimmer of hope, a possible olive branch of Cap leaving Tony with the phone. As always, lovely reaction <3

I said that I understood why Tony wants to kill bucky , anyone would but the point of the matter is he’s objectively wrong as we know as an audience. Bucky doesn’t deserve to die for something he had no control over which is why Cap defended him and Tony can be soo impulsive sometimes , he causes huge problems and wants to take the easy way out . Both of them are my favourite characters but there’s really no denying that Cap was more in the right in this film with the exception of not telling Tony but can you really blame him as Tony would’ve tried to kill him regardless of knowing the truth.

I think it’s more complicated than that. Tony and Cap were both right and wrong at the same time. Tony was right to think they need to be put in check because we saw in age of ultron that Tony actions in the creation of ultron were for the sake of Humanity but end up being a catastrophic event who risk the end of the world. He understands that his actions need to be controlled a little bit and that goes for a lot of heroes or enhanced people like Wanda Hulk ect who are a risk for people. Their are dangerous and yes they are trying to help but at the same time we saw that they did a lot of collateral damages and death despite their good intentions. But at the same time he was wrong because all his thought process is guided by his guilt and he biased by his own errors and by the fact that at this time he lost pepper. Cap was right because we saw in the first avengers and in the Winter soldier that people who run agendas are corrupted and can easily make decision that can affect millions of people in a negative way. Their are not people you want to take orders from. But at the same time he was wrong because the events of the winter soldier made him arrogant and untrustworthy of the politics. He think he understand the world better than them and that’s why Natasha agreed with Tony because she understands the situation they were into. They made huge mistakes they needed to win their trust back and confirm that they were not a problem for the world. In the case of Bucky, of course trying to kill him was not the best option because Bucky is also a victim in all of that but at that time Tony couldn’t think straight and it’s totally understandable because he went from didn’t even know how and why his parents died to see the murder of his two parents right in front of him. And yes the shield belongs to cap but Tony was right at that moment Cap doesn’t deserve it because he hide the truth of the murder of his two parents just to protect himself and his best friend. Sorry if my English is a bit clumsy I am French.

Imo Captain was in the right, he’s seen how the government handles stuff in the Winter soldier film and while I completely understand why Tony tried to kill Bucky , he’s objectively wrong considering Bucky had literally no control over his actions which makes his “I remember all of them” line more heartbreaking 💔. Both Steve and Tony are the hearts of the MCU as most people agree on but this film in particular, I genuinely feel from an unbiased point of view, Cap is right. Also Howard gave that shield to Steve long before Tony was even a thought so it belongs to him.

By the way, you should still check out the Daredevil series when you have the time.

The Civil War storyline in the comics is crazy. It is the entire Marvel Universe fighting each other. Iron Man led the team trying to ratify the Superhero Registration Act, and Captain America led the team against it. Fantastic Four sided with Ironman, and the X Men and Deadpool sided with Cap. Along with a lot of other superheroes, which I am not going to name here. Finally, after a hard fight, Cap surrendered and turned himself in. But right before he was going to be taken in to trial, he was sniped from behind and killed...by Sharon Carter. Yes, in the comics, Captain America died in the Civil War story. And it was Peggy's niece who killed him. She was being controlled by Rumlow, a.k.a. Crossbones. Crazy story arc.

Watching Maggie's face light up when Chadwick showed up and then moments later u see the sadness on her face because she knew what was coming with not just his father getting killed but knowing that the real life actor passed of cancer was shown in her countenance in a matter of moments

2 Marvel movies in one week? Halloween really is the best time of year!

Doug Watson

It’s just amazing this movie balancing all these characters

Narutoanime16

Rodgers has been a bachelor for like 80 years. I'll give him a pass. I think its weird that she is into an 80 year old man knowing his heart belongs to Peggy xD

Thats MR. Baldamort

I don't know about that, I didn't watch it.

Daryl Diggity Dixon

Eh weird but its the same with Superboy from Young Justice he's a clone but his age is like 2 and then Miss Martian is like however many years old being a Martian long as they look good no one cares lol

Narutoanime16

Is it just me or does anyone else think it's weird that Rogers fancies Peggy's great-niece? After all, he was into Peggy.

Daryl Diggity Dixon

it's remarkable that the captain america movies ended up being the best trilogy of the franchise.

Steve

This is in my top 5 of my favorite Marvel movies 🍿. Steve is a ride or die for Bucky bro 😎, that’s his brother, that’s what I like about Cap and Bucky relationship
