Magy love, if you cry at the Isaiah Bradley story that doesn't make you a baby. It makes you a real person and there's nothing wrong with that! Also a little FF (Fun Fact): Anthony Mackie is the only hero in the MCU who didn't audition for his role. He was the guy they wanted to play Falcon the entire way!

2021-04-18 22:36:27 +0000 UTCIsaiah in the comics he was one of 300 African-American soldiers who were used as test subjects at Camp Cathcart as part of the Project Rebirth’s attempt to recreate the Super Soldier Serum. Bradley was the only survivor took on the mantle of Captain America traveling to Europe to fight in the war. This was seen as treasonous by the military, who sentenced him to life in prison as punishment, although he was released after 17 years. His legacy remained a secret to the world at large but became a legend and a hero to the black community. In the series we Isaiah as an old man talking about what it was like for him unfortunately the things Isaiah was subjected to were inspired by real life were the government experimented on black men by injecting them with syphilis in the Tuskegee Experiment which a horrible scar that the US has since apologized for but it’s still horrible thing that should’ve never happened. I also really understand how Sam feels about Isaiah even though I’m not Black I’m a Latino and minority in the US. So by Isaiah never getting the recognition that he deserved it really makes Sam wonder how impactful Isaiah could’ve been for the Black community and also other minority groups. Isaiah grandson, Elijah Bradley. In the comics Elijah become Patriot and joined the Young Avengers. This is something that Marvel and Disney are in the works of creating and can’t wait to see the whole team. Either way good reaction Mags. Keep up the good work.

2021-04-16 17:23:38 +0000 UTCLol, some people thought this was a boring episode. Glad you enjoyed, I did as well. So many layers to the show. Touches on soldiers and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), and how conflicted they are with their actions. Same goes for Isaiah, and the Tuskegee Airmen and what happened to them. It even touches on the rift between some black men when it comes to politics. There have been a few version of Captain America and you could argue that they all represent certain ideologies of America from both outside and in. Some good, some bad, depends beliefs and perspective. The woman who showed up around the beginning after Walkers court martial was Julie Louis Dreyfuss who is known from shows like Seinfeld and VEEP. Most people believe she is Madame Hydra, a sometimes love interest of Nick Fury and obviously the leader of Hydra for awhile. Some think she might be Power Broker. Zemo was taken to the Raft, from Civil War, the prison under the sea. He will join General Thaddeus Ross and those two characters are part of another Marvel team called the Thunderbolts who people suspect might be showing up soon. Just for a little back story you might want to watch The Incredible Hulk kind of like Quicksilver, but that’s up to you. Thunderbolts are basically a team of reformed bad guys who carry out morally questionable missions that the ‘good guys’ don’t, that way, no one looks at the good guys with any uncertainty. Most people had the same reaction as you with the suit, I did as well, but you have to save something for the last episode. I’m surprised nobody had a Pulp Fiction moment with it, that’s what I was thinking. Hopefully there is a season 2 for both shows, they’ve been terrific. Loki starts soon, so you don’t have to wait too long for something to look forward to.
