I don't think that the seasons were too long. Yet, with any popular show, I do think they dragged the series out too long possibly. I have only watched the last two season once, but the first 4 seasons multiple times, and the 5 and 6th twice.

In my opinion, season 2 is one of the best seasons of a T.V. show that has been made- especially the back half of the season. You are right about Katherine as well. Nina does a fantastic job and I believe that her performance as Katherine is much better than Elena.

Guess it's kind of a mixed blessing that there's not as much engagement on Youtube (for now). Less editing is less work for sure - and I've seen how many shows you're watching at the moment, so was quietly hoping Vampire Diaries hadn't been shelved. I've never made it to the end of this show, but I definitely enjoyed the seasons I have watched - hopefully you will too. Oh yeah, PS - you're so right about Katherine, she looks so much more confident and powerful than Elena, I love the difference between the two. Nina does such a great job.

2021-03-09 22:53:55 +0000 UTCWhen The Vampire Dairies was on air my girlfriend would make me watch the show with her all the time. I think you’ll like it she loved it most girls do. I personally thought it was ok it felt that the show could have been great with shorter seasons. The season were to long it felt like they were just adding episodes that didn’t really need to be there. It had to much folklore which I don’t mind but when you different ones in one show in the same seasons it doesn’t seem like you get to immerse yourself in that folklore. If I had to suggest I supernatural show for you to watch it would be Teen Wolf. As you could probably tell it has to do with werewolves and it does which is the main folklore but each season after the first why get introduced to one different folklore along with the werewolves. It makes it a better supernatural show it allows to learn about different folklore each season. If you do take my suggestion I would tell you avoid the movies from the 80s which have the same name. My uncle showed them to me when I was young but they really don’t tie into the series so I would avoid and just watch the show. Still a good reaction Mags. Keep up the great work.
