Loved this! An interesting detail (there are so many we can’t mention them all) is that the singer in the church is Nils Bech. He sang the song from the trailer and also the one that plays at the end of episode 2 when Isak first meets Sonja. Both songs have a lot of deeper meeting in relation to this season. Even’s name (Even Bech Næsheim) comes from Nil Bech and his partner, whose last name is Næsheim. Sorry, can’t remember his first name, but he was the show runner for a series called Blank that came out after Skam and uses a similar format. Personally I think that’s more worth watching once you are done with Skam rather than the remakes, but I’m probably in the minority on that. Anyway, great job as always. I have really been enjoying your reactions, so thanks!

It looks like everyone has filled you in on the symbolism in this episode. It really is packed full of it. Also, the blue cross in the church is from the Romeo and Juliet movie. He basically remembers all the times Even said something about death, and then that manic phases are followed by depression. And the text he got from Even reads like a suicide note. A lot of saying goodbye, and talking about losing people. That final scene also won awards in Norway. Also, I love the Magnus scene, because he is just so matter of fact about it. From Isak's point of view, I think he really did kind of believe the whole "life is better without mentally ill people in it" thing. H doesn't know much about bipolar disorder, and just assumes that Even's feelings are a product of that, and was probably too hurt to think deeper into it. I also don't think Sonja was lying though. They'd been together for so long, she probably was just trying to protect him. She just went about it the wrong way. And about his parents, from what I've gathered the dad left when he couldn't handle the mom's mental illness, and then Isak couldn't just stay with his mom. So it's not so much that they don't care about eachother, the just couldn't manage living together. But that's gotta hurt Isak's trust in them, so he has a hard time confiding in them, plus he's got this huge secret that he's been dealing with. Another point is that we don't actually see any adults in this series. Other than the nurse, the only other one is the teacher, and we never see her face. There's probably some symbolism in that, I just don't know what it is. Great reaction!

The last clip ( The church scene) came out when I was writing my work and I had to stop because I cried my eyes put😄. The set mimicked scene from Romeo&Juliette of Baz Lurhman, Even’s fav director. Then came the message from Even and Isak didn’t think much at the tine, but then he realized that Even used to mention about death, sleep and losing something, and that indicated that Even might want to commit suicide. Isak left to say that Even was not alone, and he saved him right back( as dialogue from Pretty Woman) . This season is full of symbols and metaphores. Along with the good directing and superp acting made it stood out from the first two. Thanks for your reactions🙏❤️

For me the demon that he had to fight before coming out is the homophobia inside homself. His friends and family accepted him. Some would criticize thar it seemed too easy for Isak, but I believe that THIS is his story. It didn’t need more drama to make a good story and it seems to reflect Norway quite well. The T shirt he wore when he talked on the phone with his dad was Scream, and it was perfecr for his frustration at that point😊.

The song in the background when Isak was in bed is ‘ Hjernen er alene ( The brain is alone). It echoed the talk they had once when Even said he felt like his brain is alone. The long message he sent was actually Cherry Wine by Nash, his fav. I recommend you reading the lyrics though as it was also what Even( in his manic state) thought.
