VN DevPost: Demo and Gallery.

As promised, here's the post about the development of the Visual Novel. 

It is going to be a long ride, so... Bear with me, and my typos!

First off: THERE IS CURRENTLY A PLAYABLE DEMO. 

It has been avaible for download in my discord server (Which you can access by linking your discord account to your patreon account)  but i was waiting the DevPost to put the download link here as well. 

Before that, im gonna answer again a couple of questions real quickly:

-Game is not over, of course, not even close to beeing over

-All images and sounds are either CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication, or well... Mine :P

Meaning im free to use them as i please, even for commercial purposes. That beeing said, i still decided to put links to the sources in the game. you'll see in the demo. 

-The demo is VERY short. It was initially released to test compatibility. Turns out the engine im building this from is EXTREMELY compatible with more or less.... all macchines. (Even android if i wanted!)

Now that the link has been given and the informations has been sorted, lets talk about.... what am i working on right now. 

Like any respectable Visual Novel, i wan't this one to not only have different endings, ranging from less... enjoyable ones to more interesting ones, but i also want the player to retain satisfaction of their own run even when the game is over. In order to do that i managed to create some sort of image Gallery. 

Ignore how the menù is offset, it will require to be rebuilt... I am not satisfyed with its looks one bit, nor am i satisfyed with... Ruslan's big face on the right. Anyway:

Upon clicking to "Image Gallery" you're sent to a different screen that has various unlocked options: 

(All images are place holders of course)

Here you'll unlock various memories from the story. Thought it would be nice to go back and look at something you only read the description of, in full resolution. 

Creating this image gallery is not a tedious task, lucky, the Ren'Py engine is very accessible and has many libraries of functions already mage for this purpose. Something i wasn't able to figure out was how to have all images not fit into one single screen and instead have some sort of next page or scrollable menù.
It appears that this is out of my knowledge, altough, i can work around this by making the "locked images" smaller. 

Maybe a nicely list of smaller images or even short descriptions would be fitting. I'll see.

As for the continuation of the plot, the general idea is this:

There is an issue that prevents you from enjoying something that Ruslan is very passionate about. Feeling in deep amphaty towards you, he works hard to help you overcome this issue, giving you a chance to get loser to him and have one of the various endigs. 

Not all endings are good, but ultimately i plan on not giving ONE good ending. There are going to be numerous equally good endings, and maybe even ditch bad endings at all. 

As for something that people have been asking around... I know what people want to see, so yeah. The VN is NSFW, and most of these images in the gallery are rather lewd ;).

That beeing said, i dont want this product to be "just porn". I want the character to be well written, well charaterized and most importantly to be worthy of beeing remembered. 

Anyway, that wraps up the dev post. Not eveyr devpost will have a demo, but all of them will have informations about the development. Im trying to be as consistent as i can. Specially with the writing and drawing of the images in the VN.
