I have more job program examples - our city diverted millions of dollars from police funding into six-figure community grants that non-profits could apply specifically for safety programs. They were promoting them hard after 2 recent murders got attention. So our public library applied for the grant to deliver kids story times referencing longitudinal research that early childhood intervention prevents crime (knowing the replication crisis that’s probably bullshit). They got the grant and they got to hire a few more BA grads.

Then batflu happened and I couldn't ignore anymore that I was on the team calling food shortages "treats shortages," and actively stiffing ordinary Americans at every turn. like hell was I gonna get the gene therapy either.People can make fun of me for that trajectory, but y'all's enemies are very clearly mine too.
