100 Junk MDs - Part 2. Lemon
Added 2021-10-23 11:49:18 +0000 UTCYou may recall when I recently made a rather ill considered double-dip and bought another bundle of untested MiniDisc machines from Japan. At the end of that video I stated that I would show how many machines from the batch I could get working at some point in the future. That future is now.
I remember now though why I don’t normally announce future video ideas. A lukewarm reception, such as the one the previous video received would normally mean that it wouldn’t be worth returning for a follow up.
Nevertheless a promise is a promise so here we are and I will say that I have enjoyed pointlessly testing these. Every time I got a stubborn one to work it felt like a small win and going through a hundred machines might have been monotonous but I also found it oddly compelling and perhaps even therapeutic.
Anyway here it is - my entry for 2021’s most pointless video. A category that has a lot of competition. This is down there with The Godfather Part 3 as far as sequels that no one needed or wanted.
I’ll see if I can get on and do a short Patreon update video soon - I’ve got a few things I think are worth chatting about.

2021-11-13 15:27:27 +0000 UTCI’d have happily had any pink or red or yellow ones even if they were knackered lol. Btw Mat, your video about the biggest bargains are often the smaller ones .. or something similar! I just bagged me a Panasonic minidisc mini system with MDLP for £10 on market place
