Staying in & testing out a Sony Reel to Reel

This week I’ve been testing out a classic reel to reel. This is quite a long video, but for me at the moment I’m really in no rush. Some things just can't be hurried - they take as long as they take, if not longer. Patience seems to be the order of the day.

I'm thinking that perhaps one of the Audities posts would have been a better place to mention this but in any case, the label Section 9 appears to be releasing new titles on 5" 7.5IPS open reel tape. Looks like virtually all their physical releases have sold out thus far but their latest pre-order is still available at a mere $60! https://section9tapes.bandcamp.com/

2020-03-29 15:55:16 +0000 UTCGreat review Matt, nice machine. I ended up getting an RT-909 a few years back and love it - that was my number 2. My number 1 was the Technics RS1500 but I could never find one in the UK for anything vaguely resembling a sensible price..
