Just to let you having a little peek of a dev tool feature being implemented just yet in Babe Runner: "Expression Helper"! (but feel free to call it anything you want, lol)
Some may argue that this feature might as well result useless to any project featuring less then 10 different facial expressions (like any average VN out there), and they're right: It would. But...
...Babe Runner was never meant to be "average", and it currently features something like 105 different expressions for Nika alone (see above picture).
It won't take a genius to understand that managing this huge amount of facial expressions -and related names- while directing dialogue can get "tricky", to use an euphemism.
The widely diffused routine for this consist(ed) into arranging some jpeg file containing expressions and names to use as a reference while writing dialogues in our editor: Check image>type expression name>repeat: a whole lot of time and energy surgically tossed in the bin.
"Expression Helper" changed our game (literally!) forever: it's as simple as clicking an expression from the above screen and the string with the appropriate script gets copied to buffer.
A simple CTRL+V would paste it to the editor with not even the need to type the string over and over again like any writer needs to do for other Renpy projects.
Needless to say, I'm so excited about this because it would dramatically reduce the time needed to direct scenes, not to mention that trying to figure out "easy-to-remember/making sense" names for expressions it's history of the past....while Babe Runner is one step closer to history in the making!
SUPER HAPPY! ^^
