NIka's Animations for turn-based Battle Engine

...I wasn't supposed to spoil this to the world, but Flu kicked in just two days ago and fever made me posting this.

Yeah, I'd say it's not even TW speaking.
It's Flu speaking. Or Typing.

At any rate, blame it on Flu. ^^

Off to bed, Over and Out.

Like "Temporarily" out.

(...Hopefully? :3)

Well, I don't know who PinkTea is, I only know Akabur for we've used to stream together on Picarto a few months ago. Tbh, I'm pretty sure his "per month formal charge" works exactly like mine, the "only" difference being he's been around for about a decade and had some successful games released in the meantime, while I've started my "career" barely one year ago and I'm about to release my first just yet. "making good money" is not my concern here (if it ever was, I should've prolly aimed to something different than BR) while "delivering" is. It's just the usual anxiety coming with pretty much any creative process. Something I will stop worrying about once the demo hits the internet. ^^

Awesome. Personally, I'd try to avoid thinking too hard about freeloaders..... guys like PinkTea and Akabur have shown that even without a formal charge model you can make good money at Patreon once you get things rollling, provided that your games are good.

Dubsington

Ha! I know, and that makes perfect sense. Thanks for understanding. The thing is, when I've decided to turn my Patreon into a "charge upfront" thing, I've only thought about limiting "freeloaders" from getting for free the same content as actual patrons get. On the other hand, it brought a lot more pressure. This is gonna be my "debut game", so the more time passes by, the less it would be a surprise if at some point someone would even -rightfully- doubt I can even deliver a game at all...In other words, it got so stressing and I wake up every day with the same thought: I don't want to let anyone down. It was -and still is- the fear of losing credibility over time that turned this into "real life" enough to me. So -and may the need never arise- refunding my faithful patrons -should the Demo ever fall beyond the "Feb the 28th deadline"- it's something I will be totally and eagearly up to, as a small token of good faith from me. No "mighty oaths" at all...Just "fair resolutions". ;)

TheWorst

Hey, don't get hasty. Real life has a way of popping up and punishing people who swear mighty oaths. Besides, the old saying in software: "The first 90% of the work takes the first 90% of the time, and the rest of the work takes the other 90% of the time." That being said, I hope you are able to keep on schedule and I'm certainly looking forward to it!

Dubsington

Yes, there is: approximately a month from today. And I hereby promise that should I ever fail to meet the above mentioned deadline, I'll start refunding patrons until I will.

TheWorst

Woo-hoo! I love me some good, ole fashioned arcade battles! :D

Mr. Stibbons

Looking better and better. Don't want to rush greatness, but is there any idea when there will be something playable?
