LIXIE Clock Kit - Well not really.
Added 2018-04-25 10:58:42 +0000 UTCJust as I was typing this paragraph another email came in asking if I'd be making a video about LIXIES, however I've already made it, and here it is.
But first, you know how some people refer to all vacuum cleaners as 'Hoovers' even the ones made by Dyson - well the same thing has happened with these Edge Lit Displays - people are now referring to them as LIXIES, when that's just the name one manufacturer has coined for them.
So this is a video about what many people would now call a LIXIE clock kit- but it's a Cronixie clock kit...hopefully the video makes more sense.

Nice clock Mat, if you haven't already done so, check out Fran Blanche's videos (FranLab) she reviews all sorts of vintage display technology, many of which would make wonderful clocks..
