Well, it’s the first of the month. Time for calendar talk then actual important stuff. Let’s get through this quick; it is 10:53 PM as I write this and I am wiped.

So. Calendar. This month we’ve got Ms. Marvel, which is neat because she fucking rules. I only really got into her stuff recently, but I’ve been enjoying both Saladin Ahmed’s recent run on the character plus some trades with her earlier issues. It does suck that the recent run is ending soon though, but I’m sure she’ll have a new book coming soon.

Gotta say, I hate that her biggest mainstream exposure has been in the Avengers game. Here’s this cool new character, and most people are gonna know her from this shitty game. People are gonna say, “Kamala Khan? Oh yeah, I remember her. I liked her Verizon skin.” God, I hope her new show ends up being good.

Welp, that’s it for this year’s calendar. I don’t have a new calendar yet, so it’s entirely likely that next month’s announcement won’t have calendar nonsense. But for now, let us have a moment of silence for this year’s calendar.
