This has been an extremely video to script out, as I keep updating my theories..this draft might not even be the final version. But it's close. As always if you catch any mistakes in this version, or have any theories to share, please let me know!

Fantastic work as always Vaati! Some very very interesting discoveries in this one. The way you explained deathroot made something click for me. If the rune of death was spread through the roots because of Godwin, manifesting as deathroot. Is this why Maliketh insatiably devours it as Gurranq? He lost a fragment of the Rune of Death and this brings him great shame, so now he relentlessly seeks to bring it back together and guard it as Marika charged him to. He bound the rune to his flesh so it's a part of him, leading him to not just collect but eat the Deathroot. Somewhat like Gail consuming the Dark Soul to unify it into one essence

If so, I'm not sure they were competing with one another like you state in the video. Logistical comment: Is it just me or does the video end upruptly? Almost like it's cut off at the end.
