Patron-only Dark Souls 3 Q&A
Added 2016-03-07 23:19:10 +0000 UTCHey guys, if you were into the 45 minutes of DkS3 gameplay I showed on the channel then ask me anything related to it!
So if you want to know how the game plays, boss info, weapons, item descriptions, mechanics, my favourite experience...anything. You guys make it possible for me to create time-consuming videos like those, and you deserve something in return, methinks.
I'll try to answer in the next 12 hours. Cheers!

OH! Good catch.

2016-03-14 03:11:05 +0000 UTCThis is less a real question and more of an intrigue, but you sometimes mention theories you have or are working on in passing and I would love videos (even short ones) dedicated to some elaboration on those (pick your favorites, or ones you feel you can do justice, or maybe that could be something of a side projects once a month. Dunno what your daily life looks like, so if it's not possible/probable I would understand). And in the vein of questioning, what are some of your current theories and can you break down their reasoning a bit?

2016-03-11 21:15:43 +0000 UTCSince Kaathe's presence in the Dark Souls 3 is confirmed(unless this is similar to that "Umbasa" line), what do you think awaits us with the storyline concerning Kaathe/the Serpents?

2016-03-11 21:13:53 +0000 UTCThanks for that Vaati, hopefully the NBN gets to you soon so you could do a livestream Q&A at somepoint :)

2016-03-09 12:13:55 +0000 UTCPolygon has a good write up of starting gifts: http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/1/11130964/dark-souls-3-feature-preview-everything-we-know-fp-firelink-shrine-stats-classes Didn't see any belltower gargoyle's :( No references to time travel from what I saw, though I have a theory building that some dimensions are colliding!
VaatiVidya
2016-03-09 12:12:21 +0000 UTCI know I might be a little late to ask a question, but when you said you started off with the coin gift, what other gifts were there to choose from, also a little thing I noticed was the giant hollow tree when you approached the bell tower, did you by any chance see if the belltower gargoyles were hanging around? And also apart from the quick little examine of the giant tree, did there seem like there might be some time travelling that might be happening in DS3?

2016-03-09 12:00:48 +0000 UTCNo. Weapon arts are either active while you hold the weapon down, or when you press it.

2016-03-08 14:16:56 +0000 UTCThank you all for your questions! I'll be slowing down / stopping my responses now that I think i've answered every one. If I missed yours, please try to let me know. Thank you! This was fun! I hope it helped.

2016-03-08 13:53:56 +0000 UTCSo it works quite similarly to dark souls 2 - there is reinforcement with titanite, and infusion with an element using gems.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 13:52:44 +0000 UTCHey! Definitely the most comfortable with a standard straight sword, when it comes to first playthroughs. Luckily, I found a Lothric Knight Sword early on, which had a high dex requirement..but I loved it so much. The description reads: Small banner held by Lothric messengers. Hold up outside the main castle gate to be greeted by an escort. When the High Wall appeared, the path to the Undead Settlement was blocked, and messengers came bearing this banner. They were sent out with a duty, but had no way of returning.

2016-03-08 13:51:11 +0000 UTCHahaha, he's also the only NPC with a mouth that moves. No wonder they wanted to recycle this valuable asset. I think that you're spot on: there's a clone lab somewhere. In reality though..the dark souls 1 art book references andre as a son of Gwyn..maybe he's more significant than we think, and back as a result!
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 13:49:18 +0000 UTCUnfortunately it's one of the few I didn't think to check :( Pyromancy scales with faith and intellect. From a lore perspective, it remains a "primal" force. L2 now casts a combustion type spell (weapon art) and R1 casts the pyromancy you have equipped. I'm sure it will be much better with the advent of the mana bar!
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 13:48:14 +0000 UTCI asked the same question and the answer is they toned it down for the demo

2016-03-08 12:57:54 +0000 UTCThanks for the reply. Love the lore vids,I think I like them more then the game sometimes.....maybe not but a close second;)Fan and supporter until you stop.

2016-03-08 12:52:20 +0000 UTCOne more question that just popped up when I looked at the starter gear article - One of the items you can start with is a "Fire Gem", the description reads that it's used to upgrade to fire weapons. Have you seen how the equipment upgrade system works? Does it work the way it did in DS1, with a whole lot of different types of Titanite, or is it like in DS2 where you had a single type of Titanite but had the "Infusion" system to add elemental type, regardless of a weapon's upgrade level?

Marzura
2016-03-08 12:03:32 +0000 UTCParrying feels perfect, slightly harder than Dark Souls 1 - but without the annoying delay of Dark Souls 2. From what we've seen, i'm still a little concerned that sorcery is very weak and that there isn't much sorcery variety in the early-game..but all we need is another NPC to widen our spell choice! Now that there's a mana bar and weapon arts for sorceries, I think it's more viable than ever before.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:42:38 +0000 UTCThere doesn't appear to be a mechanic punishing repeatedly dying! You just lose your souls, and Lord of Cinder form.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:41:15 +0000 UTCHey! There are a bunch of simple miracles available from an early-game NPC (Ilana), and we see siegward cast "emit force". Hexes are also available in the first 6 hours of gameplay. I'm sure there will be lightning spells, though they will probably be later in the build, based on what we've seen..
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:40:57 +0000 UTCIt plays like a blend of Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne. Souls games play slower to Bloodborne, where you take a less pro-active and more careful approach to combat. However, never fear! In DkS3 it looks like they're giving you the ability to play more aggressively, with certain items. For example: the dagger weapon art allows you to dash faster like in bloodborne. There is also an early-game ring that gives you the ability to regenerate health based off successive hits. If you focus on these things, I think you'll find the combat more familiar.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:38:21 +0000 UTCNo, the difficulty of the bosses felt toned-down for the demo. Miyazaki has confirmed this in a demo. In terms of enemy variety, items, lore, dialogue, movesets..the game is absolutely feeling like a final build. They just have to tweak HP values and damage values to properly control the difficulty.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:36:34 +0000 UTCThere are different "types" of weapon art. Many weapons in the same class share these arts, but many are entirely unique. I think the game is a blend of Dark Souls, and Bloodborne - in a sentence. The only thing I can criticise is the linear game world (at the start of the game, anyway)
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:35:44 +0000 UTCI think that's a very valid point, considering other famous characters are coming back in much the same way!
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:34:47 +0000 UTCWeapon arts are organised by "type", for sure. However, not all classes of weapon share the same weapon art. Boss weapons in particular all seem to have very unique weapon arts. The hollowing meter seems to work nothing like previous souls games, unless they change it in the final build. I explain it in video #3..but it's definitely quite complicated. Basically, it allows you to progress an NPC questline, and acquire a few free levels. It's almost a reward for death, in this game...
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:34:31 +0000 UTCIf you want to play a pryomancer, you can start as the pryomancer class and have a hand from the very beginning, which has an L2 combustion attack, and an R1 fireball spell. For other classes, the pyromancer hand is likely found in the second area of the game. I haven't read the description of pyromancy - but i'm sure it references how pyromancy is a very primal art.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:32:18 +0000 UTCHah, that sounds like a fantastic way to play. Wishing you the best jolly cooperation. The white soapstone is sold in the hub world, which is found after the first boss! So you'll be swimming in jolly co-op from the very start :D
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:31:15 +0000 UTCI only found early-game sorceries, and they were very standard. I'm hoping the spellsword style is viable too..
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:30:23 +0000 UTCHowever, the world is folded in on itself like never before. There are a TON of hidden secrets in the levels, and they've done a great job hiding them from you, and rewarding you for finding them. Bosses are also more monster-like and very unique, you won't be disappointed there. Every aspect of gameplay has been improved, and the only concern I have is the linear levels at the startr of the game.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:29:20 +0000 UTCGood luck staying in the dark! It's the best way to do y our first playthrough. I have a feeling Dark Souls 3 will be linear, similar to Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. This bothers me a lot, too..but it's possible the game will branch out later, since I only played the first few areas.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:28:32 +0000 UTCGood luck staying in the dark! It's the best way to do y our first playthrough. I have a feeling Dark Souls 3 will be linear, similar to Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. 2016-03-08 11:28:31 +0000 UTCMany had familiar movesets from weapons of DKS2 and 1. I hope they switch more of them up, too.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:27:46 +0000 UTCooh, I didn't test this - sorry. I'm sure it's in there though.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:26:40 +0000 UTCWhen you meet Yoel, he gives you the ability to level up once, completely for free. If you take this level, a Dark Sigil will appear in your inventory. When you die with a Dark Sigil in your inventory, your character gets +1 point of hollowing. If you keep dying, you get the ability to acquire another Level & Dark Sigil from Yoel. This continues until you have 5 Dark Sigils. When you have 5, their questline continues, as I showed in the video! It's very different from previous games.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:26:25 +0000 UTCL2 puts you into a stance. From here, pressing R1 does a short dash, and R2 does an enhanced parry.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:25:14 +0000 UTCCan't wait to play along with you on the 24th! Stay strong. I'm going to pre-order my japanese version tonight. The game feels great, it's as if they've taken the greatest things from all the previous games.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:24:58 +0000 UTCThe build we played wasn't online, so we can't know for certain. "Unkindled / Lord of Cinder Form" has replaced the human / hollow system. When you're in Lord of Cinder form (by consuming an ember), you are able to be invaded. You can invade regardless of your state.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:24:13 +0000 UTCI didn't use them, but I know that they're functionally quite similar to previous games..and I didn't find too many unique ones in my play time. Hopefully they extend the variety available. With Focus (mana), we will finally have the ability to be more liberal with our sorcery use! The biggest change is the sorcery weapon art, which currently buffs sorcery for about 10 seconds
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:23:12 +0000 UTCIt's very like Dark Souls 1, where the button press should coincide with the exact moment the attack would hit you.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:21:57 +0000 UTCHey Jdog. I actually didn't get flown out for this one - there was an event at my local Bandai Namco office. This definitely has felt surreal. Every time I make a video I try to not take it for granted, and i'm constantly reading comments with how lucky I am, in mind. I think that From Software will be making great games for the foreseeable future, and even if they're not souls games, I'm confident i'll be able to cover them. If worst comes to worst and Souls-style games cease forever..i'm considering moving the channel more towards covering other difficult yet reawrding games..and maybe even developing a souls-like game of my own! WHY DIDN'T HE HIT THE SHADOW
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:21:32 +0000 UTCYup, just like in Dark Souls. Enemies don't pick up your souls.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:18:53 +0000 UTCGood question! Answer is, we don't know exactly. What we do know is that it unlocks the questline with Yuria, which allows you to buy a bunch of cool things. There may well be items that scale with your hollowing level - I expect there to be, actually. We know there are weapons like the Hollowslayer Greatsword that do INCREASED damage against hollows, so I expect the opposite to be true. You can restore ember while hollowed, and it restores your max health, as always.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:18:42 +0000 UTCThe pyromancer flame weapon art is "Combustion" from dark souls 1 and 2. Close range fire attack. Catalysts might have different weapon arts, but the most common one temporarily boosts magic damage done for the next 10 seconds.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:17:35 +0000 UTCYou can easily play without them, but you'd be missing out. Some enemies have HUGE weaknesses to your weapon arts. For example - the knights around Lothric are susceptible to guard break ripostes initiated with straight sword attacks. Later, the hollows in the undead settlement are very weak to the fast-firing arrows with the shortbow weapon art, which completely stagger them. Huge knights can be thrown into the air with the greatsword weapon art. They're very, very useful.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:16:47 +0000 UTCYup! You can come to that statue to "asbolve sins". So if you've killed an NPC and they're mad at you..or perhaps if you've invaded someone and they indict you.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:15:28 +0000 UTCWell I didn't mention the lordvessel at the start of Lothric castle, but there's a nod there. There's also a Mimic in Lothric castle..but I won't tell you where ;) I'm not a fan of the ability to warp to every bonfire, and the linear world. I think every other mechanic is an improvement. That's awesome mate, welcome. My favourite thing to hear is that i've increased your enjoyment of something. Yay
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 11:15:02 +0000 UTCWe've seen 2/3 of the hags at the start of Dark Souls 2's opening cutscene in Dark Souls 3, which means they've been reborn. There are references to the Farossa armour set, and there is a Giant Lord and a Giant Tree that drops seeds. Courland references that he linked the fire, and implies again that there have been multiple cycles - a concept Dark Souls 2 introduced. I think that Dark Souls 2 is definitely a core part of the series, and it's hard to know if the Dark Souls 2 endings are significant enough to have repurcussions in Dark Souls 3. For example, maybe Dark Souls 2 SotFS's ending where you acquire the ability to ignore the effects of hollowing is the reason we don't hollow in Dark Souls 3.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:49:34 +0000 UTCI think they've said the game will be around the same length as previous games, and they already have DLC planned. Nothing about NG+ stuff I believe
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:47:24 +0000 UTCI like the idea! When I move out into a place with better internet soon, I plan on doing more of this.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:47:05 +0000 UTCI think the Souls series has done a decent job ignoring negative gender roles, for the most part. Very rarely are women referenced to be weaker or less capable than males, and some of the most powerful, fascinating characters have been female. Armour sets also don't change to over-sexualise female characters, unlike a lot other fantasy games. That said, there are definitely examples of "Subservient" female roles. The firekeepers are one, Gwynevere another. Maybe this decision is rooted in a very Japanese view of gender roles. It's hard to say if this is the sole reason, though. I've seen it written as because fire is the source of life, and women give birth. Or that it's a reference to Hestia, the Greek goddess of the home and hearth. Most likely though it's just a trend that the creators are sticking to, and you know how the Souls series loves their tropes and consistant trends. Really interesting question though.

2016-03-08 10:45:30 +0000 UTCThank you Vaati!! You're my hero. Chip Chip Dingaroooooo

2016-03-08 10:43:12 +0000 UTCAt least 30 is what i've been saying, though I haven't counted exactly. I was very happy with the amount available. The only luck scaling weapon was the Hollowslayer Greatsword (mirrah greatsword from dark souls 2). My favourite weapon was the Lothric Sword, which was a simple straight sword. I found a huge halberd from the fat knight which I plan to use on a strength build, and I loved the weapon art for the Pontiff's Curved Sword shown in video #2 or #3.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:35:16 +0000 UTC1. When I used the uchigatana, I noticed durability flying down. Other weapons..I never even glanced at their durability, and it was fine. I think they're striking a balance between DS1 and DS2..but weapon durability might be paper mache for certain classes of weapons a bit more than before, from what i've seen. 2. There doesn't appear to be any punishment apart from losing souls, and Lord of Cinder form. In Lord of Cinder form you have a higher max HP. Embers restore you to Lord of Cinder form. 3. You unlock these locations by sitting at a bonfire. Every bonfire I sat at could be travelled to. You can travel to any location, from any bonfire, like in Dark Souls 2. 4. As much as I dislike linking to them, GameSpot have an article showing character creation. http://www.gamespot.com/gallery/dark-souls-3-starting-stats-and-gear-for-every-cla/2900-539/ I didn't encounter a soul vessel, but miyazaki has confirmed there will be a way to reallocate stats.

2016-03-08 10:33:53 +0000 UTCi am little worried about the difficulty do you you think they will increase the heath or even damage of the boses in the full relese?
distri
2016-03-08 10:31:47 +0000 UTCWell you always needed the souls of lord to even unlock the throne room - but that aside, yeah it's possible the fire needs stronger and stronger kindling every time. I think this ties in with the "ash" theme. Ash actually retains some combustion, which explains our potential a little.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:27:36 +0000 UTCThe dried finger has always been an infinite-use item, but yeah - the effect usually lasts for a temporary time. Usually until death.
VaatiVidya
2016-03-08 10:25:52 +0000 UTCI have a question regarding the dried finger. As I've heard it grants the host the possibility to summon an additional bro and enables you to be duo invaded. Is it something you equip or do you use it as a consumable and get the effect for a certain time?
Erik Mattsson
2016-03-08 07:36:50 +0000 UTCWhat do you think about it taking 5 people to link the flame as opposed to 1 as it's always been before?
Jacoby rust
2016-03-08 06:34:30 +0000 UTCI've seen each of your videos several times by now, you definitely do an amazing job of showing a lot of things others missed, but of course I'll be happy to ask you a bunch of questions: 1. Durability and weapon breakage - in DS1 you barely had to consider durability, in DS2 weapons were made of papier-mache judging by how fast they degraded. How is DS3 in comparison? 2. Dying. What are the consequences, if any? Apart from the obvious dropped souls, does anything else happen? HP loss/Summoning restriction/whatever else? If you could go into more detail in regards to ember and its use, that would also be great. 3. You said that Firelink is an isolated location and you don't walk anywhere from it but rather teleport to the different locations. How are those locations unlocked? Can you travel to any bonfire like in DS2/Bloodborne or only a select few like in DS1? Anything else you can share about the interconnectivity of the world in terms of travel? 4. In all DS3 videos uploaded, character creation is mostly glossed over because it's not exciting enough to showcase. Can you go a bit more into it? I'm especially curious about potential starting gifts, whether a "Deprived" type exists as a starting class and whether or not you encountered a "Soul Vessel" type of object or any other stat-reallocation mechanic.
Tarradax
2016-03-08 04:54:20 +0000 UTCHow many weapons were there or how many did you find during that time? Was there a luck scaling weapon? How many of them caught your attention? And what are they?
Marzura
2016-03-08 03:36:20 +0000 UTCWhen I first got into the series, gender didn't mean anything. There was no handicap for picking one over the other. Even the equipment looks similar, practically identical. But why must all firekeepers be women? What's wrong with males? Women can have the dark sign, many examples being in Dark Souls 2.
swedishbambi
2016-03-08 03:30:27 +0000 UTCDo you find it problematic that most(all?) firekeepers are women?
swedishbambi
2016-03-08 03:23:55 +0000 UTCAlso, pardon the double post, but, would you be willing to do a livestream Q&A? Like on a google chat or Spreecast (where you can select people one-by-one to be shown on the video call/and audible along with you, rather than a Google Hangout, where eveyrone is visible at once). I'd love the chance to talk to you face to face, and group-chat with other Dark Souls fans across the world. Would that be something you'd be interested in? And, finally, an actual Dark Souls 3 question: do we have any info as to how long the game is? And on New Game Plus stuff? I want to know how much of my life will be willingly sacrificed here :p
Jonathan Grover
2016-03-08 03:03:27 +0000 UTCThis seems to be a more direct sequel to Dark Souls 1 in the vein that it has the characters and the locations; how do you think they'll implement the Dark Souls 2 story and ending into the game, any characters or references to DaS2 you spotted in your play through?
Nathan Kosub
2016-03-08 02:58:45 +0000 UTCApart from what was shown in the videos, were there any other noticeable, or perhaps less noticeable nods to the previous games? Also, were there any mechanics of the game that you didn't enjoy? New pledger by the way, huge fan of your videos, you've improved my experience vastly, which is crazy considering they were already my favourite games.
Morgan Butler-Kerridge
2016-03-08 02:18:16 +0000 UTCYou only showed it for about half a second in one of your videos, but there was a statue or something to do with Velka??? What's up with that?

2016-03-08 01:51:31 +0000 UTCThank you, My question is mostly on How well Sword Arts are used in the game, Mostly long sword types and great sword types
Suirad Smailliw
2016-03-08 01:35:25 +0000 UTCThanx for the vids Mr. Vaati. I know you died a few times and you never showed when you retrieved your souls. Are your souls on the ground as in previous Dark Souls games or is it like Bloodborne where an enemy has them?
Harry Gallardo
2016-03-08 01:32:45 +0000 UTCQuick question: Does the catalysts and especially the Pyromancer's Flame have weapon arts?
Void Whisperer
2016-03-08 01:15:34 +0000 UTCI was wondering, since the Dark Sigil allows you to go hollow, are there any benefits to doing so other than gaining a new level? Like are there special rings that take advantage of this? Also, can you restore your ember while hollowed and what does that do?
Daniel Tan
2016-03-08 01:13:21 +0000 UTCHey Vman. Honestly, since I don't get to talk to you one on one, I'd just like to know a bit more about you. You got personally flown out to this special event, and have been such a huge part of the Souls community, but there was a point, years ago, when that might have seemed like an unobtainable goal. What's the journey been like for you personally? Where do you hope it will lead you in the future? With DkS3 being possibly the last Souls game (for a while?), are you at all anxious about what to do next? Just any other details you might like to share about your personal experience would be cool, since you still remain this sort of enigmatic figure :p. Alternatively how infuriating was it to see the Game Grumps not HIT THE FUCKING SHADOW OMG <3
Jonathan Grover
2016-03-08 01:02:07 +0000 UTCLove your videos man! Always get excited when I see one in my sub-box. My question is: How does parrying work/feel in DS3? Is it more like the parry in Dark Souls 1 or in Dark Souls 2?

2016-03-08 00:26:34 +0000 UTCI know you weren't using them in your build, but did you encounter any interesting new sorceries? I've played sorcerer since demon's souls and am always hyped to see how things change.

2016-03-08 00:23:33 +0000 UTCHere's a question for you. How does online connectivity work? I know you don't go hollow unless you accept the dark sigil, so can you always summon or be invaded if you never accept it? Or can you summon and/or be invaded when you're hollow? Basically, what I want to know is what are the conditions that will prevent you from being able to summon other players or prevent invading or being invaded.

2016-03-08 00:18:49 +0000 UTCCan you re-explain the dark sigil & hollow thing please. Huge fan :)

2016-03-08 00:18:07 +0000 UTCI can't see anyone asking this yet so here goes: Have you tried the messgae system/was it up yet, and if so is the phrase "praise the sun" in there? Not that I dislike it, just that you couldn't seem to go more than a few steps in DS2 without finding yet another message saying praise the sun and nothing else.

2016-03-08 00:16:36 +0000 UTCDid most, if not all the weapons have a unique moveset? DS2 irked me when all of the straight swords had the same moveset. Bring back the Silver Knight Straight Sword!

2016-03-07 23:56:51 +0000 UTCI'm sorry to say I'm avoiding your videos until after DS3 is released, I'm purposely keeping myself in the dark about the game. However, I am curious as to how the world feels; DS2 was a lot more linear than DS1, and I remembered being slightly disappointed by the enemies. So many of the bosses were just "dudes in armor" and some of them didn't even feel like they properly belonged in the area they occupied. The DLC did a good job of expanding the universe, but on its own I don't think Dark Souls 2 compared to the original. So how does the world feel? Is it expansive? Deep? Dark? Thanks for everything you do, keep it up!

2016-03-07 23:56:51 +0000 UTCDid you get a chance to play around with sorceries? I'm a spellsword kind of player and wanna know if my playstyle is suitable for Dark Souls 3

2016-03-07 23:56:03 +0000 UTCVaati! My roommates and I are huge fans of your content. Keep it up! Me and my roommates plan on pairing off and duoing our first play through. We've been all about that jolly cooperation since the start. My question is: do you know when the white sign soapstone is received? We wanna plan on how quickly we can start co-oping.

2016-03-07 23:54:48 +0000 UTCWere you able to find a loose(dropped/in a chest) pryomancy flame in your play time? And does the pryomancy flame have any interesting lore implications from descriptions with the goal of this game being to become the heir to the flame?

2016-03-07 23:54:04 +0000 UTCAre the weapon arts more weapon based, or just type. As in a Greatsword always has this one, or the Ultra always have that slam dunk thing shown in the stress test? Also what does the hollowing meter mean? Like gameplay-wise I'm not sure what it does.

2016-03-07 23:53:21 +0000 UTCI was trying to keep myself spoiler free, but succumbed to your amazing videos xP Anyways, with all these loveable characters reviving in 3, do you think it's possible we're gonna be playing as a reincarnated version of our previous souls character?

2016-03-07 23:52:35 +0000 UTCI'm trying to avoid any exposure to the game, but I have a couple questions. Firstly, weapon arts. Does each weapon type have a specific weapon art, or does each individual weapon have one, or something else entirely? Also, what do you think of the game so far? How does it stack up against Dark Souls and Bloodborne?
Aaron Derr
2016-03-07 23:51:16 +0000 UTCDid the game build you played feel like a final build? What I mean is did it seem difficult enough for a souls game?
Vincent Baldasaro
2016-03-07 23:45:58 +0000 UTCHow would you say the combat plays compared to Bloodborne? I've not played DS 1 or 2 but loved Bloodborne.
Iron Shrike
2016-03-07 23:39:27 +0000 UTCAny info about miracles? I saw mention of sorcery and hex teachers, is there early access to lightning? Or do you think that will that be a mid-late game spell?

2016-03-07 23:34:52 +0000 UTCI know using a ember will give you more hp but is there a mechanic to punish repeatedly dieing like in dark souls 2? Thanks!

2016-03-07 23:32:56 +0000 UTCFirst, I'd like to say that I loved the Dark Souls 3 vids. I have 2 gameplay questions. 1) How does parrying 'feel' (is it responsive enough?), 2) Do you think an int build ()mainly focusing on soul arts) is workable.

2016-03-07 23:30:27 +0000 UTCWould love to participate, but I am on a self-imposed media blackout for the next five weeks. I will be sure to check out your videos after I get several hours into the game, though. Keep up the good work!

2016-03-07 23:29:21 +0000 UTCDo you know how the pyromancy flame scales? Is it more like dark souls, or dark souls 2?

2016-03-07 23:27:31 +0000 UTCI'm trying to be spoiler free and you are not making it easy vaati!! not any easy!!! HNNNGGG. (even less when I heard the videos are top quality)

2016-03-07 23:25:35 +0000 UTCI've got two questions. I've seen some pics of the Curse Rotted Greatwood dropping a soul. What was that item description? And two, have you seen how pyromancy works in this game yet? They whole theming of "unkindled" and "ash" makes me wondering how pyromancy fits in with the game.

2016-03-07 23:24:31 +0000 UTCWhat the heck is up with Andre's presence? Actually, now that I think about it, what's with all the ashen Andres in DS1? Is there an Andre clone lab somewhere where they are just banging them out forever? Reminds me of Duncan Idaho...

2016-03-07 23:23:45 +0000 UTCAlso thanks for the amazing content the last 3 videos were amazing.
