Progress Report - 06/13/2021

Dear Supporters,

This Story release is basically finished. I need to render out the last few pictures, write the last little bit of script and add music to the scenes. It'll take half the day tomorrow and then I'm going to wrap it up and send it off to the Beta testers. We should have a release the middle of this coming week. It'll be about half the size of the last update but it'll conclude the Despair story line. I thought it was going to be finished last week but it turns out there was more to do than I anticipated. My apologies. 

Why am I doing it this way? A few weeks ago, I hit a slump. I thought Penny's game was going to be a break out hit and that people were just going to love it. But it didn't happen that way. I've thought a lot about it and I think I leaned into the drama a little heavy. 

What's that mean for the future of Penny for Your Thoughts? It means I'm going to wrap up the first two releases into a 'Prologue'. After the prologue you'll choose whether to follow Penny's path or Cassian's path. You'll be able to build your relationship with Jinx, Brynlee and Leah on Penny's side or step into the shoes of Cassian and build your relationship with Teresa, Vivian and Una. It'll be similar to how you had dramatic branching paths in Avalon. And these paths will converge when the two are together.

That means we have a lot more to go with Penny. So my side project with Petal should be a more manageable project with meaty releases and a very standard AVN plot. It'll be the project to bring eyes on my work. And it'll be a nice break from Penny's game because PfyT is quite possibly going to be massive.

I'm taking a little break after the Prologue is released so I can work on Petals game and once the first release for that is out into the world, I'm going to go back to working on both at the same time. When I get exhausted working on Penny's game, I can work on Petals game a little.

You guys know me, I'll never make you wait too long for a release. I'm always going to be transparent with my progress. I won't let you down!

Teresa is absolutely my favorite girl on Cassian's side. I'm going to work extremely hard to show you guys just how special she is. Although she only has one small scene in this upcoming release, she will be the main focus for Cassian on his path in the future. 

I hope you guys are excited for this release. It'll answer a lot of questions, there's a lot of new information that'll surprise the heck out of you and it wraps up the Despair story that I know a lot of people weren't happy to see the cliffhanger for.
