Progress Report - 08/17/2020

Dear Fans,

As I'm working on Act Seven, I'm noticing that it's probably going to be quite long. I haven't put together the exact scene list so I only have an idea of what we need right now. I'm just going to briefly go over a few of the plans I have for each path and then where I'm at now.

I'd like to have two scenes for each monogamy path. There will be two scenes with Octavia and Penny and two scenes with Dallas and Penny. This will sort of put those alternative timelines on their path forward. But they won't be canon, the true timeline will be one of the Poly paths.   

With the Polygamy paths, I want to have more time with Byron and Dallas / Octavia alone so I'm going to find a way to make that happen. And Leah is going to spend some time getting to know Avalon. That's an easy match because they're both sweethearts. 

And then, of course, we want Penny to deliver the Spear to Dr. Benson as promised. We'll explore Sharol a bit more. And then there's the inevitable meeting between Penny and Leah. I have plans for Leah to be in Penny's spin-off game, Penny for Your Thoughts. 

I'm not even going to think about the Night Scenes right now because I have no idea how they're going to work. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it! So here's the breakdown:

This is just a rough outline. Some of the names for these scenes are just placeholders and I'll change them later. And we probably also have a few scenes I'm not thinking of right now. But this is a great rough draft.

You can see we have a lot to do in Act Seven. We're going to split it probably into three parts.  Act Seven is going to conclude the main story.

I've been toying with the idea of starting Penny for Your Thoughts while working on Act Eight. So I'd be splitting my time between the two. But I wanted to hear from you, the fans! Do you want me to focus on finishing Act Eight or split my time between PfyT and Act Eight? Let me know!

It'll take me at least the rest of the year to finish Avalon. There's a little bit of polish I need to do, there are a few scenes I need to go back and clean up. I also want to redo some of the dialogue. I want the final product to be as nice as possible before I settle on calling Avalon 'Complete'.
