The Shawshank Redemption - Full Length Reaction - First Time Watching

eeeek, my first reaction video!! tune in here for the full length reaction + extra commentary that isn't in my Youtube video.
Shawshank was such a great movie to start off with, and boy am I glad to have finally seen it.

grab your copy of Shawshank and watch along with me!

a few little housekeeping notes:
- with this being my first video, this watch-along might feel a tiny bit bumpy. I had to stop and start a few times due to camera overheating, etc. - I tried to sync it back up with the timing of the movie as best as I could, but it might feel a hair off in some places.
- I check the viewfinder of the camera a number of times, as I was nervous that my microphone was going to turn off and wanted to check that everything was still operating smoothly! so that's why you might see my eyes wandering every now and then, as well as a few mic taps :)

just wanted to note these things for full transparency - I already learned so much on the technical side of things from this first experience, so I look forward to improving my full length reactions moving forward.

thanks again!! πŸ’ƒ

thank you for the feedback! I'm always going to include the timer/ blurred video moving forward as I realized how helpful that seems to be - sorry that the first ones feel a bit bumpier! and yes, definitely a lot of additional details I've noticed in the editing process of the movies so far 🀣

I watched your reaction video for "The Shawshank Redemption". It was a little tricky as I had to momentarily pause either your reaction OR my Blu-ray playback to re-sync a few times. I was definitely noticing the absence of a blurred movie in a window with a timer that you've since incorporated into later reactions but it was manageable. If you edit your own reaction videos you probably noticed more of the film's details upon further viewings. The judge in Andy's case does say, "By the power vested in me by the State of Maine I hereby order you to serve two life sentences, back to back - one for each of your victims." The de-lousing process involving the hosing down of convicts and the white powder was an insecticide to kill lice and bedbugs. Just like in a hostel or even a hotel, those parasites can quickly spread through a facility if undetected soon enough. There are no prisons in the U.S. that have a mandate that forces inmates to follow the teachings of Christianity or any other religion. That was strictly Warden Norton's policy and not enforceable. Involuntary prison labor still does occur in some states, California included. A ballot measure on the most recent election that would have banned such practices was defeated by voters, even though it had no public opposition to the ballot measure. There's speculation that it lost because the measure omitted the use of the term 'slavery', which other states successfully employed to success. Thanks for your reactions, and keep 'em coming!
