I'm kind of glad this was the middle episode. It isn't filler since there are no filler, but it's very light on how much it advances the plot (edit: Which is not to say there isn't a lot going on). So if you ever do come back to the full series, very little of season 4 is actually spoiled. It didn't even spoil a question you had in episode 1, even though that particular question had an answer by this point. (won't say which question, and the finale may have answered it anyway. Don't remember.)
