Future Plans: A Roadmap (Part 2: Community)
Added 2020-01-07 20:44:21 +0000 UTCHey guys, how are you all doing? This is the second part of my little roadmap, which focuses more on us as a community instead of game plans.
Before we get to that, let's take a quick look at last post's poll. Contrary to my expectations, not a single person voted for smaller, more frequent games. I personally also prefer larger games, so I'm glad we're aligned in this matter.
Alright, now there are three main topics I'd like to address in this post (I feel like I'm forgetting something... I'll update this post if I remember it later on).
This is quite a lot of text, so feel free to skip to the last point if you want to know what the poll is about.
1. New Tiers
After the release of A Day With D. Va, I added some new tiers to my page. Since most of them come with a pretty big donation, I don't expect anyone to pledge those in the near future. But you can never have too many tiers, right? ^^
On this note, I also recommend checking out the completely reworked $25 tier, which is now called "Extraordinary Expert". I'll be busy this weekend but I plan to start posting content for that tier next week.
2. New Ways to Support
This isn't really interesting for current patrons but I want to let you know about it nonetheless. Besides Patreon, I now also have a Ko-Fi page. Other than Patreon, Ko-Fi isn't meant for monthly "subscriptions" but for singular donations.
The main advantage for European users (including myself) is that Ko-Fi works with EUR instead of USD, which means supporters and I won't lose any money with the currency exchange. The big downside of Ko-Fi is that they prohibit adult content. For that reason, I can't post any of my content on there.
To summarize, nothing changes for you but if you are a European supporter, you might want to take a look at Ko-Fi. Sadly, I can't manually assign Patreon tiers but I'll try to grant the Patreon rewards to Ko-Fi supporters to the best of my abilities. Please note that so far this is all farily theoretical and based on research because I haven't tried Ko-Fi myself yet.
And the main topic of this post:
3. Our Own Discord Server?
Since our little community has been steadily growing with every new game, we could start organizing our circle a bit more. In my opinion, the best way to unite everyone in a social environment would be a Discord server including different rooms and roles. That being said, this is just a proposition. Setting up the server means more work for me but I'd be glad to do it if that's something you guys want.
Let me know whether you want a Morexis Discord server in the poll beneath this post! :D
Well, I still feel like there's something else I wanted to talk about but I just can't remember what it was. So let me know what you think about those topics and send me any questions you might have.
As I mentioned before, I'll be busy from Thursday to Monday so I probably won't post any new content until next week. I'm currently working on multiple games and I'll soon have some exciting news about The Mystical Maze Part II for you guys.
Until then, I look forward to your comments and hope you have a great week and weekend! ^^
