You guys are awesome 💙 thank you 🙏 sometimes I just think about things I would enjoy instead of what my birds would enjoy and you are correct they love to fly and that’s what they need to do . still working on schmoozing the hubby for the flight trip 🙏

Your courses and videos (on Patreon and Youtube too) have really helped me understand about parrots. I must say I have learned from zero. Caring for parrots especially indoor, is really not easy soundwise ( ie. birds are noisy) . Having pet parrots is beyond feeding them and cleaning the cages. I am still overwhelmed by their screaming, etc, but I am working on it, armed with good knowledge. The screaming has decreased though , after one year of studying about the parrot care . At least now I know the cause of the scream , and trying my best to avoid the trigger. And this Q&A helped too. I see my problems in other people's questions.

Thank you Jamie for the tips on the weight gain and losing weight…. Been doing religiously the ground flax seed, birds are loving it. Since I have post my questions, I have offer just more food and as much as my galah was not finishing his meal, he is just better at it! I have no credit lol! Was just opportunistic…. The goffin have lost almost all the weight in the month! Without knowing I did your recommendation and reduce very gradually……. Dave you are touching a point with the treats!!!!! I never count what I give in a training session…. Will be more observant now for sure! As for my Congo that love to recall of the forbidden places….. Dave we have a consult book tomorrow :) Can’t wait to have tips to clean up my training! Thank you guys for doing the Q&A! Nice to have some feedback on our issues :)

Hello from AK! Love the discussion on winter preparation! You are a big part of ours for the birds. We already have snow on the ground so just did the annual update of our emergency kits (rotating food, water, meds, replace flashlight batteries, etc). We have several bags of your freeze dried and your pellets in our pet bag for our flock of 4. 🦜☃️. We also include a target stick, clicker, and some treats in the pet kit (for potential escapes) and maintain their Trackpacks in a state of readiness for a quick evacuation if needed! We have generators at the house and various heaters as you suggest, with our travel trailer serving as back up. Good reminder to prepare before you may need it!!!
