Potato… potato… (that doesn’t really work in writing, huh)

Maybe if I wrote: po-tay-to… po-tah-to….

Nevermind, lol.

anyway! Yup! You guessed it! These are the last 24 hours to sign up for the ‘weeeooo’ goodies this month. They’re super fun and cute and they always make me smile, so if you’d want to get in on all the ‘weeeooo’ fun, be sure to sign up before the end of January. Also, maybe think about someone who might appreciate them as well, an adult, a kid, a parent. Could be a nice little present.

Here’s what’s included!

Exactly. Like, you don't want to ignore your child's wants and needs. But you also can't cater your every sound and action to their fickle/toddler preferences. Trying to find the balance is tough. I've really appreciated advice from Dr Becky and her parenting podcast, Good Inside. I recall she had one a while back about the struggle of being the "non preferred" parent. How it can really make you feel, how your child might be feeling, and strategies to address the struggle. She can be a bit cheesy/overly earnest sometimes, but I also really get a lot out of her knowledge of psychology and practical advice. Worth checking out!

I can relate to this. I honestly don't know what the solution is. When it happens to me, I try to ignore it, or just tell Mr. B that he can't yell at me and that i can do what i want (=you don't tell me what to do lol)

They are so critical lolol

Being told you're doing it wrong as confusingly as possible is so relateable as a fellow toddler parent 🥲

This is my husband's constant struggle with our daughter 😓. She just gets so upset whenever he speaks or sings, and tells him he's somehow doing it wrong 😅. I picked her up from preschool the other day. When we walked through the door back home, he greeted us. Our child immediately slams her hands over her ears and declares, "That hurts my ears, Daddy!" It was a normal volume, a basic greeting, and she had been perfectly fine chatting with me moments before 🤷🏼‍♀️.
