Greetings, patrons!
Apologies for the delay on this release, the past few days were slightly more hectic than anticipated. To make up for it, we'll be releasing two mysteries for Public Access, one today and the next on Friday.
The first is On Strange Wings. It was written by Raymond Rich, with layout by Ben Mansky, and art by Joshua Clarke.
Just about every rural region has its own cryptid, from Loch Ness to Boggy Creek to the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Degoya County has more than its fair share. Few can agree on precisely what the winged Deep Lake Devils are: gargoyles, vampires, demons, aliens, mutant animals (bats, birds, insects, or some inexplicable combination), but everyone in town knows where they come from...
Los Ojos de los Muertos.
This mystery was the winner of the Public Access Writing Contest we held this past spring! In it, the Latchkeys will get to explore some of the deeper (and stranger) environs of the open desert, and encounter another one of the region's unique cryptids. Dare you delve into the deep places of the desert, and face the devils within?
See you all again on Friday for the next mystery! It's a pretty fast and furious one, too. If you catch our meaning.
