Updates: Gauntlet Con 2018, Codex KS, and more!

September and October have been a truly dizzying couple of months. I wanted to check in with you all and let you know where we stand on different parts of The Gauntlet community.

Gauntlet Con 2018

Gauntlet Con 2018 is concluded and it was a great success! Not including  sessions that were canceled, we had 190 game sessions, 7 panels and workshops, and we launched Gauntlet Games Now, our on-demand gaming platform we will be gradually rolling out in our spaces. If you weren't able to attend, videos for the game sessions and panels are being made available on the Gauntlet's YouTube page:

Codex

The Codex Volume 1 Kickstarter campaign is nearly finished! We have unlocked a number of stretch goals, including upgrades to the book's quality and Digital Stretch Goals like Night Witches: Koldunya. There are only 5 days left; if you want to get one of these books, I strongly recommend you go to the page and pledge. This is going to be a single print run—once they're gone, they're gone! Check it out right here:

Codex - Joy 2 is nearly complete and should be in the $4+ feed on November 1st.

Patreon Goals

You may have noticed we hit the next Patreon goal. But there's a caveat there. We usually lose a number of pledges at the beginning of each month, and I suspect that will especially be the case in November because some people pledged just to get into Gauntlet Con. After the first part of November, I'll see if we're still at the pledge goal (the one where we do Gauntlet Con twice a year), and if so, will make an announcement about it. I'll also announce the next pledge goal, which is probably one of the most exciting things we have planned (I can't wait to talk more about it!).

Podcasts

Podcast production continues apace. Discern Realities has been on hiatus, but it returns later this week with Episode 59. The new series on We Hunt the Keepers!, The Merry Abattoir, should be out next week. We are also getting ready to launch a brand-new discussion podcast called The Farrier's Bellows. We'll have more to say about that in the future, but just know it is a very exciting project.

Gauntlet Hangouts

Not much to report here; it's humming along. December games on Gauntlet Hangouts are going up right now, and January games will be going up in a week or so.

The Gauntlet Blog

We're starting to get into our routine on The Gauntlet Blog. Daily posting has been challenging because of our insane October, but next month should be more consistent. The engagement with The Gauntlet Blog has been very high. Each post is getting thousands of views (the most popular has over 10k), which is terrific for how new (and niche) it is.

Ok, that's it for updates. As always, thanks so much for you support. I will tell you this has been a particularly stressful time for the Gauntlet organizers; if you have a kind word to spare in the comments, it would be much appreciated!
